    • An X-ray imaging apparatus may include a frame, an X-ray generation unit that radiates X-rays onto an object, an X-ray detection unit that detects the X-rays transmitted by the object, and a compression paddle that is combined with the frame so that the compression paddle is placed above the X-ray detection unit and compresses the object. A frame combining unit may form at least one surface of the compression paddle and may be combined with the frame. A plurality of protrusions may be provided at the frame combining unit so that a type of the compression paddle may be recognized, thereby preventing an error in recognizing the type of the compression paddle. Also, the compression paddle may be combined with the frame by using the protrusions to stably combine the compression paddle with the frame.
