    • The present invention relates to certain interdental cleaning devices and methods for their manufacture and use to remove interdental debris, to alleviate and/or prevent gingival inflammation, and or to deliver desired pharmacological and therapeutic or other active agents to the gingival or tooth surfaces. The pharmacologic and therapeutic agents of the present invention include, but are not limited to, antibiotics, antiseptics, anesthetics, astringents, and whitening agents. The present invention also includes various methods for the manufacture and use of interdental cleaning devices comprising a porous structural component that may be used to topically or locally deliver the pharmacologic and therapeutic agents according to the present invention to a desired target tissue within a mammalian body such as the interdental space to reduce or treat gingival infection, inflammation, or pain. The present invention further includes various methods for the manufacture and use of interdental cleaning devices comprising a porous structural component that may be used to topically or locally apply negative pressure to remove debris from the interdental space.

    • A bristle configuration providing enhanced cleaning of teeth. The bristle pattern includes large tufts having a greater cross-sectional area than standard toothbrush bristle tufts. The large tufts are contoured so that the top ends of the bristles comprising the large tufts are not all at the same height. More than one raised section is provided, the raised sections being spatially isolated from one another to function independently of one another. Preferably, at least one of the raised sections has a sufficient brushing surface area with bristles extending a sufficient height above surrounding bristles such that that raised section can reach into and clean interdental tooth surfaces, preferably while the remaining bristles in the large tuft clean other tooth surfaces. Another aspect of the invention relates to a zig-zag or sawtooth bristle profile, wherein each tuft making up the profile has its own unique substantially conical or frustoconical profile. In one embodiment, the height of conical or frustoconical bristle tufts increases from the sides of the head towards the midline of the head.

    • A cosmetic brush having a stem and a brush part is disclosed. The brush part, comprising bristles formed through injection molding, is provided on an end of the stem. The brush part includes a base for coupling the brush part to the stem, and the bristles which are integrated with the base through injection molding have a fine thickness. Each of the bristles is formed through injection molding to have thickness ranging from 0.05 mm to 0.15 mm. The brush part is manufactured through injection molding, thus enabling the use of various materials and affording various designs, therefore improving the competitiveness of a product. Further, structure and manufacturing process are simplified, so that manufacturing and equipment costs are reduced.
