摘要： In manufacturing a liquid crystal display element which includes a black matrix, in curing an ultraviolet curing sealing material after filling liquid crystal using a dropping injection method, there has been a possibility that a radiation quantity of ultraviolet rays to the sealing material is insufficient and hence, the curing is not sufficiently performed thus largely lowering the reliability of the liquid crystal display element. According to the present invention, an overlapping width of a frame-like sealing material and a black matrix on a peripheral portion along a display region is suppressed to 0.2 mm or less, or a region of the black matrix which is overlapped to the frame-like sealing member is patterned to include a light transmitting portion.

摘要： A face plate on which a frame is formed for improved design aesthetics is bonded to a top surface of an upper polarizer of a liquid crystal display panel with a pressure-sensitive adhesive material. The frame on the face plate is formed from five layers of printing. The pressure-sensitive adhesive material has a three-layer structure having a first pressure-sensitive adhesive member, a base material, and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive member. The first pressure-sensitive adhesive member is formed thicker than the second pressure-sensitive adhesive member, and hence the pressure-sensitive adhesive material can maintain a necessary thickness above the frame formed on the face plate. The reliability of adhesion between the face plate and the liquid crystal display panel is thus improved.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device which can prevent the generation of bubbles on an adhesive surface between a liquid crystal display panel and a face plate which protects the liquid crystal display panel is provided. In mounting the face plate on an upper polarizer of the liquid crystal display panel by way of an adhesive material, a picture frame is formed on a periphery of the face plate for enhancing design property. Although the picture frame is formed by printing black ink, a quantity of Si present in the black ink is set to not more than 0.7% and not less than 0.01% thus preventing the generation of bubbles attributed to defective adhesion between the face plate and the adhesive material.

There is provided a liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal display panel having: a first substrate; a second substrate; a sealing material through which the first substrate and the second substrate are stuck together; and a liquid crystal enclosed inside a liquid crystal enclosure area encircled by the first substrate, the second substrate, and the sealing material, wherein the sealing material includes a ring portion in a ring shape which configures the liquid crystal enclosure area and whose whole circumference is closed, and a first extension portion and a second extension portion, each of which is integrally connected to the ring portion and is arranged outside the ring portion, the first extension portion extends up to a cut-end portion of a first side of the liquid crystal display panel, the second extension portion extends up to a cut-end portion of a second side of the liquid crystal display panel, the second side being opposed to the first side, and in a state where the first substrate and the second substrate are stuck together, W2≦W1≦1.2W2 is satisfied where W1represents a seal width of the first extension portion and a seal width of the second extension portion, and W2 represents a seal width of the ring portion.

摘要： An optical disk producing apparatus produces an optical disk by bonding a pair of replica disks together. The replica disks are disposed in a sealed space to oppose to each other with a predetermined gap therebetween. The sealed space is defined by a peripheral wall and opposite ends. The peripheral wall is divided into two portions which are slidingly movable relative to each other. When the sealed space is evacuated, the two portions are moved to apply an atmospheric pressure to the replica disks, so that the replica disks are bonded together into an optical disk.

摘要： This invention relates to a replica plate having a transparent plastic substrate and a photo-cured resin, and a projection type television using the replica plate. An adhesive layer comprising an acrylic or methacrylic compound is provided between a transparent plastic plate and a replica-forming photo-curable resin, whereby it is possible to enhance the adhesion between the surface of the transparent plastic plate and the photo-cured resin, and to produce a replica plate having excellent optical characteristics, good replicating properties and high reliability. The adhesive layer can be provided (1) by coating a layer containing the acrylic or methacrylic compound on the plastic plate, the compound infiltrating into the plate, or (2) by incorporating the acrylic or methacrylic compound into the photo-curable resin, the compound infiltrating therefrom into the plate; in this latter technique, the plate coated with the resin should be heated. This invention has contribution to enhancement of the performance of projection type screens for television, optical parts such as lenses, and products associated with optical disks.

摘要： A method for producing an optical disk base to store, record, and retrieve sounds, images, and information. An improved method for producing an optical disk base includes the steps of injecting a photo-curable resin into a cavity, curing the photo-curable resin by irradiation with light, and demolding, where the photo-curable resin is injected from an injection nozzle having an outside diameter which is substantially equal to the diameter of the center hole of the optical disk base and also having a horn-shaped opening at the forward end. The injection nozzle is arranged at the center of the optical disk base. The forward end of the nozzle is closed after injection and the photo-curable resin is irradiated with light, with the injection nozzle projected into the cavity. A liquid resin is injected in the form of uniform flow without entrapped bubbles, so that the anamolous molecular orientation is avoided and the contamination with insufficiently cured or uncured resin is also avoided.
