摘要： An ignition device, in particular for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, having a laser device for generating laser pulses, and having an optical fiber device which is at least optically connected to the laser device for supplying the laser device with pumped light. The optical fiber device is configured and situated in the region of the laser device in such a way that radiation incident in the region of the laser device and/or in the region of a combustion chamber associated with the laser device may be injected into the optical fiber device. The disclosed configuration of the optical fiber device advantageously allow the radiation which is injected into the optical fiber device to be analyzed, in particular using a detector which is remotely situated, without having to provide additional, separate optical fiber devices for the radiation to be analyzed, because the radiation to be analyzed may be conducted directly via the same optical fiber that is already used for supplying pumped light.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine including a fuel-injection unit and a laser ignition-unit. According to the invention, during a compression cycle of the internal combustion engine, fuel is injected into the combustion chamber by means of the fuel-injection unit in such a way that an ignitable, round, flat mixed region of fuel and air forms on a plunger and a predetermined period elapses between the end of the fuel injection and the start of ignition in order to form the round flat mixed region. Ignition then takes place within the flat round mixed region by means of the laser-ignition unit.

摘要： The ignition system for an internal combustion engine includes an ignition coil having a primary coil and a secondary coil; a plurality of semiconductor switching elements connected with the secondary coil which change abruptly from a blocking state to a conducting state at a predetermined breakdown voltage corresponding to an ignition voltage, each of the semiconductor switching elements including at least one breakdown diode; an ignition line connected electrically to a higher voltage end of the secondary coil and another ignition line connected electrically to a lower voltage end of the secondary coil, each of the ignition lines being connected via one of the semiconductor switching elements to a spark plug and being of different length, wherein the semiconductor switching element in the one line has a different breakdown voltage than the semiconductor switching element in the other line. Advantageously the shorter ignition line contains the semiconductor switching element with the higher breakdown voltage so that an increased steepening effect can be achieved for the ignition voltages applied to the spark plugs.
