摘要： An image formation apparatus is disclosed. The image formation apparatus includes a fixing unit whose heater temperature is controlled to be in a non-offsetting range so that no offset is produced, the non-offsetting range being defined for each different paper thickness. Nip time remains constant even when the thickness of the paper to be printed on next is changed. Printing is suspended until the heater temperature, approaching the non-offsetting range, reaches an inconspicuous offset range on either side of the non-offsetting range, inconspicuous offset being produced if printing is performed in the inconspicuous offset range.

摘要： A high-speed image forming method and apparatus is capable of directly controlling a toner by the force of an energy beam. Selected toner particles in a mass of toner adhering to the surface of a transparent drum are irradiated with a laser beam emitted by a laser disposed within the transparent drum and controlled for scanning according to image information. The laser beam separates the selected toner particles from the transparent drum by the force it produces on the particles, and then the separated toner particles are moved to a paper sheet by the force of an electric field produced by a developing electrode. Each toner particle need only be irradiated with the light for a comparatively short period of time, so that an image can be formed at high speed.

摘要： An apparatus fixes a toner image formed on a recording medium and has a fixing roller which is rotated. The fixing roller is heated and the toner image is fixed on the recording medium being in pressed contact with said fixing roller. Offset toner particles formed on the fixing roller are decomposed into particles being too small to be perceived as a picture by an offset toner decomposing device before such large particles to be perceived as a picture are formed, and the small offset toner particles are stuck onto and removed by the recording medium. Preferably, the offset toner decomposing device is a brush roller which is rotated relative to the rotation of the fixing roller such that the brush roller and the fixing roller have equal peripheral speeds. The amount of offset toner being formed is decreased by reducing the creation of offset toner particles on the fixing roller by decreasing a torque fluctuation of a drive motor of the fixing roller.

摘要： In a heat roll consisting of a mandrel and a surface layer, this invention comprises a fixing apparatus and a recording apparatus, wherein a thickness of the surface layer is formed not exceeding the thickness determined by a square root of the product of a heat diffusion rate of the surface material and a nip time required for a form to pass a nip zone, and a thickness of the mandrel is formed not less than the thickness determined by a square root of the product of a heat diffusion rate of the mandrel material and a one rotational period of the mandrel. Since the surface layer and the mandrel are so specified for the thickness as mentioned, a quantity of heat flowing from the mandrel into the surface layer multiplies, and thus a high fixing strength is obtainable. The fixing apparatus and the recording apparatus are provided further with a cleaning device high in cleaning capacity.

摘要： In a two-color image forming apparatus, correction exposure of creating an area having a potential between an image area potential and a white area potential is made for a decided white area on the periphery of the image area. A potential difference between the image area and white area is reduced to attenuate an edge effect, thereby preventing the fringe development.
