    • A method of water-proofing a connected portion of electric wires is disclosed which improves the efficiency of water-proofing and prevents the connected portion from becoming enlarged after working. An injector 10 filled with a water-proof insulation adhesion agent 11 is disposed above a tapping roll 7 of a known tape winder so that a nozzle 9 of the injector 10 is directed to the roll 7. A water-proof sheet 1 cut in a desired size is fed on the tapping roll 7. A predetermined amount of the adhesion agent is dropped on the sheet 1 from the nozzle 9 to form a deposit 2 of the adhesion agent. A supplementary sheet 4 made of a water-proof insulation material is applied to the connected portion 3 and then the connected portion 3 with the supplementary sheet 4 is put on the deposit 2 to form a sandwich type construction in which the portion 3 is disposed between the sheets 1 and 4. Then, the connected portion 3 is pushed down into a slot 8 of the tapping roll 7. The sheets 1 and 4 are wound around the connected portion 3 to seal it by rotating the roll 7.

    • A brake oil pressure control device including a main line system for a normal braking operation, and a subline system for antiskid control and acceleration slip control. The main line system connects a master cylinder to a wheel cylinder, and has a first valve which opens the main line for a normal braking operation, and closes the main line when an antiskid control or acceleration slip control is in effect. The subline system has an oil pump connected to the wheel cylinder through a subline having a second valve, which is controlled to open and close the subline for the antiskid control or acceleration slip control. Inlet and outlet ports are connected by a relief pipe having a third valve and a relief valve. The relief valve opens the relief pipe under pressure from the master cylinder when a discharge pressure from the oil pump is higher than the pressure at the master cylinder, to restrain the discharge pressure from the oil pump. The third valve opens the relief pipe for an antiskid control, and closes the relief pipe for an acceleration slip control.

    • A torque transmission belt means comprises a metallic ring which extends around a driving pulley and a driven pulley and a plurality of blocks made of hard material, which are linked up by the ring so as to be shiftably engaged therewith. Each block is provided with a concave portion in the front surface or the rear surface in the moving direction of the ring and an elastic member is fixed to the front surface or the rear surface of a back plate portion of each block, which forms a bottom of the concave portion so that each elastic member is contacted with the back plate portion of the adjacent block. Since each block is contacted with the adjacent blocks through the elastic members, the torque transmission belt means silently operates.

    • A torque transmission system has driving and driven pulley units around which an endless V-belt extends. Each pulley unit has a stationary pulley part rotatable with a shaft and a movable pulley part disposed to define with the stationary pulley part a circumferentially continuous groove for receiving the V-belt. The movable pulley parts of the pulley units are axially resiliently biased so that the radii of the circle along which the V-belt engages the driving and driven pulley units are varied to change the speed-change ratio of the transmission system. The movable pulley part of the driven pulley unit is axially shifted by the action of fly weights held between a stationary plate fixed to the shaft and a holder fixed to the movable pulley part. A cover is provided to cover the outer end of the movable pulley part, the stationary plate and an adjacent end of the shaft and cooperates with the stationary plate to define therebetween a first space which is communicated through a port in the stationary plate with a second space defined between the stationary plate and the holder. The first space is also communicated with the atmosphere through an axial bore extending axially through the shaft. A third space defined between the stationary and movable pulley parts is communicated with the axial bore through a second communication port formed radially in the shaft, whereby the three spaces are maintained substantially at the atmospheric pressure regardless of changes of the volumes of the spaces due to axial movements of the axially movable members, so that the torque transmission system can be free from any adverse effect which would otherwise be caused by the compression of air in the mentioned spaces.
