摘要： The present invention provides a pancreatic islet isolation method comprising the steps of (1) injecting a protection solution containing a protease inhibitor into the pancreatic duct of an procured pancreas; (3) digesting the pancreas into which the protection solution has been injected; and (4) purifying the digested pancreatic tissue using a purification solution containing a density gradient reagent. The present invention also provides a protection solution for injection into the pancreatic duct, a pancreas preservation solution for the two-layer method, and an islet purification solution.

摘要： Methods for generating pancreatic stem cells from a pancreatic tissue of 24-week old mice by transient overexpression of reprogramming factors combined with Pdx1 selection is described herein. The generated cells were designated as iPaS (induced pancreatic stem) cells and exhibit the same morphology as the pancreatic stem cells previously established from young donors without genetic manipulation and express genetic markers of endoderm and pancreatic progenitors. Transplantation of the iPaS cells into nude mice resulted in no teratoma formation. Moreover, iPaS cells were able to differentiate into insulin-producing cells more efficiently than ES cells. In addition, the technology of transient overexpression of reprogramming factors and tissue-specific selection of the present invention may also be useful for the generation of other tissue-specific stem cells.

The waterproof connector comprises a connector member supporting a ferrule to be butted against a target ferrule disposed in a target connector, the connector member being adapted to be locked to an adapter member of the target connector by an action of a lock operation portion provided in the connector member; unlocking means being adapted to operate the lock operation portion to release the locked state; and a housing body allowing the unlocking means to be slidably moved. 摘要： There is disclosed a process for producing a catalyst. The process includes the steps of: a) combining a dendrimer polymer and metal salt in solution forming a metal ion complex; b) exposing the metal ion complex to a reducing environment forming a dendrimer metal nanocomposite; c) depositing the dendrimer metal nanocomposite onto a catalyst support material; d) removing a solvent from the dendrimer metal nanocomposite forming metal clusters; and e) removing the dendrimer polymer forming a catalyst. Additionally, there is disclosed a catalyst having a catalytic metal deposited on a substrate. The catalytic metal is formed in clusters having a size of from 2 to 150 atoms. In another aspect, the clusters may have a spacing of from 2 to 100 nanometers between adjacent metal clusters. Further, in another aspect, the metal clusters which comprise the catalyst have a size distribution in which 70% of the clusters are within 0.6 nm of the average diameter and 99% of the particles are within 1.5 nm of the average diameter.
