    • Methods for controlling lost circulation in subterranean wells, and in particular, fluid compositions and methods for operations during which the fluid compositions are pumped into a wellbore, enter voids in the subterranean-well formation through which wellbore fluids escape, and form a seal that limits further egress of wellbore fluid from the wellbore. The methods include preparing a carrier fluid containing compressed expandable foam that may be encapsulated. The carrier fluid is then placed into a lost-circulation zone, whereupon the foam expands to form a barrier that minimizes or blocks further ingress of carrier fluid. Lost-circulation control may be supplemented by introducing additional lost-circulation materials, pumping a cement slurry behind the foam-containing carrier fluid or both.

    • A method for shortening the shear recovery time of zwitterionic viscoelastic surfactant fluids by adding a rheology enhancer having the structure: R-(EO)x(PO)y—R′—OH in which R is an alkyl group that is straight chained or branched, saturated or unsaturated, and contains from 3 to about 18 carbon atoms, x is from 0 to about 14, y is from 0 to about 7, R′ is an alkyl group that contains from 0 to about 14 carbon atoms and is straight chained, branched if having more than 3 carbon atoms, saturated, unsaturated if having more than one carbon atom, the total number of carbon atoms in R plus R′ is from 3 to about 21, and the EO and PO groups, if present, may be in any order. The rheology enhancer also increases fluid viscosity and thermal stability. Preferred surfactants are betaines. The fluids are useful in oilfield treatments, for example fracturing and gravel packing.

    • A method is given for treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore with a viscosified fluid. The fluid contains a solid hydrolysable polyacid that upon dissolution and hydrolysis releases an acid that is a breaker for the viscosifying system. Suitable solid hydrolysable polyacids include polylactic acid and polyglycolic acid. The fluid also contains a pH control agent, present in an amount sufficient to neutralize any acid present in the solid hydrolysable polyacid before the injection and to neutralize any acid generated by the solid hydrolysable polyacid during the injection, so that the acid breaker is not available to break the fluid during the injection. In one embodiment the viscosifier is a viscoelastic surfactant fluid system and the solid hydrolysable polyacid is of a size selected to be a fluid loss additive, for example in fracturing or gravel packing. In another embodiment, the solid hydrolysable polyacid is used in particles sufficiently small that they enter the pores of the formation. In either case, the viscosifier is broken after the solid releases more acid than can be neutralized by the pH control agent.

    • Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a protective cover for a tablet computer or other electronic device. The protective cover may be a portfolio style case having a front cover, a back cover, and a frame, the portfolio style cover being configure to accept a tablet computer. A protective corner may be positioned within each corner of the frame, the protective corners configured to protect and pad corners of a tablet computer. In embodiments, a hand strap may be positioned on an interior surface of the front cover, such that when the front cover is open, the hand strap is configured to engage with a user's hand. The front cover may include a magnetic closure that activates the tablet's sleep/wake function and may fold backwards, creating a folding view stand, wherein the folding view stand may engage with a slotted tab on the back cover.
