    • A tire condition monitoring system for a vehicle has a chassis-side transmitter/receiver and a tire-side transmitter/receiver. The tire-side transmitter/receiver measures an interval between two successive request signals of the chassis-side transmitter and controls a time point of transmission of a response signal of the tire-side transmitter/receiver based on the measured interval so that the response signal is transmitted when the tire-side transmitter/receiver is in the communication range of the chassis-side transmitter/receiver. A control unit determines a time interval of one rotation of a tire based on a vehicle speed, and drives the chassis-side transmitter/receiver to transmit the request signal at an interval set to be shorter than an interval in which the tire rotates the communication range of the chassis-side transmitter/receiver.

    • The present invention relates to a sensor ID registration for a tire air pressure monitor including a sensor unit built in each of tires of a vehicle and a receiver mounted in a vehicle body for monitoring the in-tire air pressure. The registration is conducted through using a control unit and a registration unit, provided for each vehicle manufacturing line. A different control unit number is allocated to each of the control units and transmitted from the control unit to the receiver. Moreover, a specific number identical to the number is transmitted from the registration unit to the sensor unit and data including a sensor ID and the specific number is transmitted from the sensor unit. The receiver registers the sensor ID when the specific number and the control unit number agree with each other. This achieves accurate ID registration without registering an ID of another vehicle in error.

A control means controls the signal receiving sensitivity changing means such that each of the receivers receives only the information included in the radio wave, which has a largest signal receiving level among the radio waves transmitted from the plural transmitters.
