摘要： The cooking stove top can be equipped with two different glass ceramic tops with different IR transmission spectra, which each have at least one cooking area, which is heated by a radiant heating body cooperating with a temperature-limiting adjusting device, which limits a surface temperature of the glass ceramic top installed in the cooking stove and/or the surroundings. To economically, variably, and individually adjust the IR transmission of one glass ceramic top with a higher IR transmittance to that of a lower IR transmittance of another glass ceramic top so that they are interchangeable, the glass ceramic top with the higher IR transmittance is provided with an absorbing and/or reflecting coating. When the glass ceramic tops are interchangeable, either can be used in a given cooking stove without changing an expensive temperature-limiting device that is designed for the cooking stove.

摘要： The invention is directed to cooktop apparatus wherein a cooktop panel is seated in a frame and is made of glass ceramic, glass or ceramic. The cooktop panel has a cutout for accommodating an atmospheric gas burner in the cooktop panel. A component assembly holds the gas burner in the cooktop panel and the component assembly includes a collar annularly overlapping a portion of the panel in the region of the cutout. The collar has an inner region defining an edge which, in turn, defines a first abutment for engaging the gas burner. A resilient metal element is attached to the gas burner and extends outwardly from the gas burner to engage the panel on the lower side thereof. The lower side of the panel defines a second abutment against which the resilient metal element applies a force F to hold the gas burner on the panel via the collar and the resilient metal element. A seal is sandwiched and clamped between the collar and the panel thereby preventing any spillage from reaching the frame through the cutout.

The glass ceramic has transmission values of greater than 0.1% in the range of visible light over the entire wavelength range greater than 450 nm, light transmission in the visible range of 0.8 to 5%, and transmission in the infrared at 1600 nm of 45-85%. The glass ceramic also includes a display apparatus that has a display device which is designed to display different operating conditions with different colours and/or symbols.
