The display apparatus comprises a display part that displays an image based on an image signal; a light source that supplies light to the display part; a current commanding part that outputs a current command value according to a brightness of the image; a current detecting part that detects current supplied to the light source; and a controller that sets the outputted current command value as a reference current command value if a value of the detected current value falls within a predetermined tolerable range, and controls the current commanding part such that the reference current command value is reflected in a target current command value of the light source depending on the brightness of the image.

    • A display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The inventive method and apparatus improves a response speed of a light source and image quality by minimizing a ripple of a current and reducing a time required to increase/decrease an amount of a current to drive a light source when a light source is turned on and off or a size of a current used to drive a light source is changed. An exemplary display apparatus includes a light source, a current generator which generates a driving current to drive the light source, a first current consumer which has a smaller resistance value than the light source, a first switch which is switched on and off to supply the driving current generated by the current generator either to the light source or to the first current consumer and a controller which controls the current generator to generate the driving current to reach a target value, and controls the first switch to supply the driving current to the first current consumer if the target value is smaller than the driving current.

    • An apparatus for driving an LED is provided. The driving apparatus may have an LED unit including at least one LED, and a current controlling unit for controlling the magnitude of current flowing through the LED unit in response to a control signal. The LED driving apparatus may include a voltage detecting unit for detecting a voltage across the LED unit and a control signal blocking unit for comparing the voltage detected by the voltage detecting unit with a reference voltage. The control signal blocking part prevents the control signal from being applied to the current controlling unit when the detected voltage is lower than the reference voltage. With this configuration, the LED driving apparatus is capable of preventing a circuit from being damaged by overcurrent by cutting off a control signal when a determined number or more of LEDs are short-circuited or otherwise not operational.

    • A wafer test equipment system includes a performance board connected to a tester head of a tester. A universal block printed circuit board is positioned on the performance board, directly connecting a plurality of normal signal lines to a probe card and dividing each of a plurality of power signal lines into multiple paths and connecting them to the probe card. A cable assembly transfers the normal signal lines and the power signal lines between the universal block printed circuit board and the tester head.
