摘要： The present disclosure relates to forming crowds of users taking into account known physical boundaries. In general, current locations of a number of users are obtained. A crowd of users is then formed based on the current locations of the users while taking into account one or more known physical boundaries such that the crowd does not include spatially proximate users on opposite sides of the one or more known physical boundaries. By utilizing known physical boundaries in a spatial crowd formation process, users that are spatially proximate to one another but are separated by a physical boundary are not included in the same crowd. In this manner, the spatial crowd formation process provides accurate and meaningful crowd formation in environments such as, but not limited to, buildings with multiple rooms, shopping malls, or the like.

摘要： A system and method of allowing a recipient to control and customize filtering of recommenders in a media item recommendation system. Filtering recommenders allows the recipient to control from which recommenders media item recommendations can be received. Recommenders may be filtered using a tag associated by the recipient with the recommender. The tag may be any attribute. If the recommender is tagged with the attribute matching a current selection criterion established by the recipient, media item recommendations from the recommender may be sent to the recipient. If the recommender is not tagged with the attribute matching the current selection criterion, the recommender is filtered out and the media item recommendation from the recommender may not be sent to the recipient. The recipient may define the current selection criterion by setting a presentation channel.

摘要： A skip function for a broadcast or multicast media station is disclosed. In one embodiment, two content streams are simultaneously transmitted for a single radio station. A receiving device simultaneously receives the two content streams transmitted for the radio station. The receiving device provides playback of a first content stream of the two content streams. During playback of the first content stream, the receiving device buffers one or more most recently received content items from the second content stream. When a user of the receiving device initiates a skip, the receiving device performs a skip function by switching playback from the first content stream to the second content stream beginning at the start of the one or more most recently received content items from the second content stream that have been buffered at the receiving device.
