    • The present invention provides a high frequency heating apparatus having a structure, which can be mounted/dismounted an air-exhausting grille without any tools. In this apparatus, an air-exhausting grille is arranged by that a fixing claw portion having a bent Z-shape, a fixing hooking portion having a concave notch, and a magnetic joint plate are arranged, whereas a main body located opposite to the air-exhausting grille is arranged by that a slit hole, a hooking flange, and a magnetic fixing plate are arranged. As a result, since the magnetic joint plate is absorbed with the magnetic fixing plate to be fixed with each other, the mounting/dismounting work capability of the air-exhausting grille can be improved without using the tool in a simple manner, and furthermore, a clean cooking appliance can be secured, while the cooking appliance can be readily cleaned.

    • A microwave oven with a rotary antenna for feeding electromagnetic waves to a heating chamber. The antenna has a first antenna portion and a second antenna portion which extend in mutually opposite directions and substantially at right angles to a rotary shaft portion, the length of the first antenna portion being greater than that of the second antenna by approximately one quarter of the wavelength of the electromagnetic waves used and the free end of the first antenna portion being bent substantially at right angles thereto for a length not exceeding one quarter of the wavelength to thereby ensure a uniform electric field distribution within the heating chamber. A dielectric seal plate supporting the rotating shaft of the rotary antenna has a tapered cross-sectional configuration projecting into a waveguide to prevent a sharp change of impedance in the waveguide, whereby spark discharge due to a high frequency electric field is effectively prevented even in the absence of a heating load in the heating chamber.

    • A motion-picture camera having exposure and sound-recording structures past which the film is transported by a pair of film-transporting structures, respectively, at least one of which is driven by a variable speed electric motor. The film is transported both forwardly and rearwardly and forms between the exposure and sound-recording structures a loop from which the film is continuously transported to the sound-recording structure and to which the film is transported in a stepwise manner from the exposure structure. A detecting device detects when this film loop becomes longer or shorter than a predetermined magnitude, and through a suitable circuit this detecting device is connected with the variable speed motor for controlling the speed thereof so as to increase the length of the film loop when it becomes shorter than the predetermined magnitude and decrease the length of the film loop when it becomes longer than the predetermined magnitude, so that in this way the film loop is maintained at the predetermined magnitude. The components referred to above operate both during forward as well as rearward travel of the film so that it is necessary to displace components of the sound-recording structure away from the film during rearward travel of the latter.
