    • An image motion detecting circuit and an image motion detecting method of the present invention can accurately detect motion of such an image sequence that different still pictures are connected with each other. Inter-frame difference absolute values of an inputted image signal during a predetermined frame period are held by plural registers 105. Then, the maximum value is extracted from the inter-frame difference absolute values which are held by the plural registers 105, and the extracted maximum value is subtracted from the sum of the inter-frame difference absolute values during the predetermined frame period, thereby detecting the motion of the whole image sequence.

    • An immunoagglutination reagent includes liposomes, as a carrier, with a covalently bound antigen or antibody immobilized thereon. The reagent is used to assay an antibody or an antigen on the basis of agglutination. The assaying can be done at a high sensitivity in the short wave region where the change in turbidity caused by the agglutination is enhanced. An antibody or an antigen is immobilized onto the surface of the liposome, and a water-soluble polymer compound or a gelled compound is entrapped in the liposomes. The substance entrapped in the immunoagglutination reagent enhances the change in turbidity via the agglutination caused by the antigen-antibody reaction.

Internal circuits of the branch connection device can be easily changed and increased only by connecting the auxiliary connecting member 2 with one device main body 1, with the result that this device can be easily applied to a plurality of types of vehicles without enlarging the size thereof as in the prior art.

    • A video recorder for recording a video signal having one frame period and having a high resolution such as a high definition television signal. The video signal in a frame period is divided into two groups for corresponding to a respective field period of the video signal. The two groups are encoded efficiently and independently of each other. After encoding the respective data as respective variable length data signals, pseudo data is added to either one of the variable length data signals having a smaller amount of variable length data than the other variable length data signal so that the amount of variable length data in the divided signals is substantially equal for a designated period. The encoded data is then recorded on an optical disk by a recording mechanism using two respective channels. When reproducing a video signal having lower resolution, such as is used for a standard television system, the video signal is reproduced by decoding the encoded data for one channel. When reproducing video signal having a higher resolution, such as a high definition television signal, the video signal is reproduced by decoding the encoded data from both channels.
