    • In one embodiment of the present invention there is provided a method of filtering blood flow in a lumen by positioning an open loop filter support structure within a lumen; maintaining a position of the open loop filter support structure within the lumen using radial force generated by the open loop filter support structure; and filtering blood flow in the lumen using a filter supported by the open loop filter support structure. In one aspect, there is also applying radial force generated by the open loop filter support structure along the axial dimension of the lumen. In another embodiment of the present invention there is provided a method of providing a filter across a lumen flow path by providing a filter support structure having a first end, a crossover section, and a second end; and fixing the position of the filter support structure within the lumen by positioning the first end against a first portion of the lumen and positioning the second end against a second portion of the lumen; and using the filter support structure to provide a filter across the lumen flow path. In one aspect, the ends do not pierce the lumen surface.

    • A catheter assembly for cannulating the coronary sinus of the heart includes a flexible, elongate shaft having a proximal end extending to a distal end. A central lumen and a secondary lumen extend through the shaft. The distal end is preformed with a first curved segment and a second curved segment extending distally from the first curved segment. A deflecting mechanism is positioned in the secondary lumen and is operable to deflect the first curved segment from a first configuration to a second configuration while allowing the second curved segment to remain in a first configuration. The deflecting mechanism may be a tensioning member fixed to the shaft and extending through the secondary lumen or a rigid member slidably received in the secondary lumen.

    • A system and method for collecting data on small-arms usage in the form of a device which is mounted to the firearm so as to be able to sense at least an impulse in the firearm due to firing. The device is mounted to the gun so as to detect impulses due to firing. A processor accepts impulse signals from the sensor, and uses either a hold-off delay or a windowing time to determine and store information related to the firing of the firearm. This information may be any combination of temperature, firing rate, firing intervals and time data for subsequent analysis, and, optionally, information identifying the weapon to which the device is attached. The device preferably has an interface to transfer data from the device to a computer or other data collection device.

    • A powered rake for windrowing debris for subsequent collection is provided which includes a main frame for coupling to a tractor, a subframe mounted for pivotal movement relative to the main frame about an upright pivot axis, a roller pivotal with the subframe to an oblique angle relative to the direction of travel, and a material control member including a blade extending along the length of the roller and presenting a gap therebetween. The subframe is preferably pivotal for presenting the roller at an oblique angle to the right or left with respect to the intended direction of travel, thereby permitting the powered rake hereof to continuously windrow the debris in the path of the roller. The roller is rotatably mounted on a pair of downwardly and forwardly extending legs which present substantially open areas outboard of the roller to permit debris to pass freely outboard into a windrow without any obstruction from the frame or subframe supporting the roller. The roller preferably presents a plurality of circumferentially spaced, radially projecting splines which are spiral oriented around the longitudinal axis of the roller to present an even load on the roller as it rotates in engagement with the soil.

    • A pull-type folding implement, such as a grain drill, has individual and independent radial flotation for each of its drill units such that each unit can rise and fall, while remaining level, independently of the other, as well as cock and cant independently of the other as may be necessary to accommodate uneven ground terrain, yet the units may be folded into compact, fore-and-aft extending transport positions in which ground wheels thereof are retracted off the ground and the units are carried by a main, fore-and-aft carrier frame of the implement. A third, center unit may be provided between the two outer units and utilizes its own set of ground wheels during both field working and over-the-road travel when the other units are folded in, the center unit likewise having a floating connection with the carrier frame which permits the center unit to rise and fall, cock and cant when experiencing terrain irregularities. Because the weight of the two outer units is borne entirely by the carrier frame when the outer units are folded in for transport, a safety interlock is provided which prevents unfolding of the outer units from the carrier frame unless the ground wheels of the outer units have first been lowered into ground engaging positions capable of supporting the load of the outer units. Special cocked pivot assemblies coupling the outer units with the central carrier frame cause the units to be likewise cocked about their longitudinal axes when folded into the transport position such that depending, outboard extremities of the units are provided with an extra measure of ground clearance at that time.
