摘要： Various embodiments of a sequencing system capable of rapidly imaging samples at multiple wavelengths are provided herein. In one embodiment, the system includes a fast-indexing filter wheel having a plurality of excitation and emission filters capable of being rapidly rotated into and out of communication with an excitation source (e.g., an arc lamp, a laser. For example, the filter wheel can be configured to index in an amount of time falling within a range of about 40 ms to about 60 ms, preferably 50 ms. The system can also be configured to account for vibrations resulting from the quick starts and stops of the fast-indexing filter wheel as well as vibrations resulting from other sources. Various methods of rapidly imaging a sample at multiple wavelengths are also provided herein.

摘要： A method enabling a service at a communication network node and a network node adapted to execute the method is provided, wherein a first request, requesting for one or more operations to be associated with a symbol, is received from a first user. The request comprises an instruction, identifying one or more operations. The request triggers the generating of a unique symbol identity, and the creation of a symbol record, associated with the symbol identity, wherein the symbol record, linking the symbol identity to the one or more operations. At the node the symbol identity is also associated with the generated symbol, which is created by a symbol server and forwarded to the first user. Once the symbol has been received by the node in a second request, the symbol identity corresponding to the symbol is retrieved from the symbol server, and the service is enabled by executing the one or more operations according to the symbol record identified by the symbol identity.

摘要： A tissue adhesive sealant includes a cross-linkable protein in a solution that when combined with a cross-linking agent solution including an aldehyde and amino acid containing species reactive with the aldehyde cross-links to form a seal. The sealant is well suited for bonding tissue alone or in combination with a patch. The ratio between the aldehyde and the amino acid containing species is between 20:1 and 1:1 on an aldehyde moiety:amino acid or peptide subunit molar basis. Particularly strong seals are formed when the protein and cross-linking agent are present in a molar ratio of between 15:1 and 1:1.
