    • Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for transmitting uplink Ethernet data in a coaxial network, a Coaxial Network Unit (CNU) and a Coaxial Line Terminal (CLT) applying the method. In the method, the CNU determines a transmission path loss between the CNU and the CLT, determines a transmission level for transmitting uplink data according to the transmission path loss, and transmits the uplink data by using the determined transmission level. The present invention ensures the security of data uplink transmission in an Ethernet Passive Coaxial Network (EPCN) system in essence and dramatically increases service quality.

    • Three-dimensional (3D) video is provided to a legacy two-dimensional (2D) video messenger application. A request for video content from a single video camera is received at a camera interface module from the 2D video messenger application. The request for video content from the single video camera is forwarded to a video processing offload module. A first video camera and a second video camera are controlled. Merged 3D video content from the video processing offload module is received. The merged 3D video content is sent to the 2D video messenger application in response to receipt of the merged 3D video content from the video processing offload module.     • An Ethernet transceiver and an Ethernet transmission method are disclosed. The transceiver is adapted to detect the level amplitude of a received analog signal, adjust an amplification factor adaptively according to the detecting result to make the level amplitude of the received analog signal which has been amplified reach a same output level amplitude, perform an analog-to-digital conversion and a codec process, and transmit the signal to a MAC layer of the Ethernet. The transceiver is further adapted to amplify the level of a signal to be transmitted to a coax network and output the signal. The amplification factor is determined according to a maximum attenuation loss between coaxial terminals. In the present invention, an interaction between an Ethernet access point and a coaxial terminal and an interaction between coaxial terminals are carried out, which makes the CSMA/CD MAC layer of the Ethernet be adopted in an application environment of radio and television coax network.
