摘要： The present invention relates to an ethylene homo or copolymer having a density of between 0.923 and 0.935 g/cm3, having a molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn of between 3 and 10, and comprising from 0.10 to 0.50 wt. percent of units derived from a carbonyl group containing compound, based on the total weight of the homo or copolymer. In addition, the invention relates to a free radical initiation polymerization process for the preparation of medium density ethylene polymers or copolymers, comprising reacting ethylene and optionally one or more comonomers at a high pressure, conveniently between 1600 and 4000 kg/cm2, and at temperatures of about 150-330° C. in a reactor system consisting of at least one autoclave reactor or of a combination of autoclave and tubular reactors, in the presence of free radical initiators and a carbonyl group containing compound. Finally, the invention relates to carbonyl group containing chain transfer agents to obtain improved polymer processing and performance properties in flat die extrusion processes and applications.

摘要： Polystyrene is dispersed into a polyol via a mechanical dispersion process. A stabilizer is present to stabilize the dispersed polymer particles. The stabilizer includes a copolymer of (1) from 10 to 70% by weight of a branched polyol which has a molecular weight of from 4000 to 20,000, from 0.2 to about 1.2 polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule and from about 3 to about 8 hydroxyl groups per molecule with (2) from 30 to 90% by weight of styrene or a mixture of styrene and one or more other low molecular weight monomers.

摘要： In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of forming a cellulose article having a specific volume of less than 3 cc/gm. The method includes the step of incorporating cellulose fibers with a compound, wherein the compound includes an aqueous dispersion. The aqueous dispersion may have at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-based thermoplastic polymer, a propylene-based thermoplastic polymer, and mixtures thereof; at least one polymeric stabilizing agent; and water. In certain embodiments, a combined amount of the at least one polymer and the at least one stabilizing agent comprises about 25 to about 74 volume percent of the aqueous dispersion.
