The content receiving terminal includes an operation input unit specifying one point on a line, a time information output unit outputting the specified point as time information, a request sender sending a content providing request including the output time information to the content distribution server, and a provider providing at least one content item to a user. The content distribution server includes a content storage unit in which a plurality of content items are stored in association with at least the corresponding time information, a search unit searching the content storage unit for at least one content item according to a search condition based on the time information, and a content distributor distributing at least one content item to the content receiving terminal.

摘要： In one aspect a communication system is provided. A terminal generates predetermined music information on a reproduced piece of music and reproduction frequency information including a reproduction count of the piece of music. The terminal transmits the reproduction frequency information and its own apparatus ID to a server. The server computes a similarity coefficient between pieces of music reproduced by the terminal and another terminal on the basis of the terminals' reproduction frequency information and apparatus IDs. The server catalogs the computed similarity coefficient on a favorite list by associating the similarity coefficient with the reproduction frequency information and the apparatus IDs. The server identifies a similar piece of music reproduced by the terminal and the other terminal by referring to the favorite list and selects a piece of music reproduced by the other terminal but not reproduced by the terminal.

The CPU 3 selects a play list corresponding to a moving tempo obtained from a tempo detection section 9 and selects music content categorized as a highly ranked genre in the genre ranks from those corresponding to the selected play list. The selected music content is supplied to a decoder and amplifier section 12 and then reproduced from a head phone 14.

The music editing apparatus includes a remix processing section which performs a remix process based on both meta data that are pre-generated corresponding to song data and that contain at least a time-based beat position and a file for deciding a remix pattern; a synchronizing reproduction controlling section which generates a master beat, sends the master beat to the remix processing section, and reproduces a plurality of songs based on individual entries of the meta data according to the remix process that the remix processing section has designated corresponding to the remix pattern and the meta data; and a mixing section which mixes songs reproduced by the synchronizing reproduction controlling section. The remix processing section performs the remix process based on a remix pattern file structured as hierarchical layers each of which has a control parameter portion and a data entity portion.

摘要： Reproducing characteristics of an audio sound are controlled by an audio controller 8 and reproducing characteristics of a video image are controlled by a video controller 11. Whether or not a viewpoint of the user is directed to a display 13 side of a television receiver is detected by a viewpoint detector 14. On the basis of a detection signal from the viewpoint detector 14, a discriminating unit 15 discriminates which of a normal monitoring state, a “while watching” state, and the “concentration” state the present state corresponds to, and generates a control signal to control the reproducing characteristics so as to be adaptive to the state. If it is determined that the present state changes from the “while watching” state to the “concentration” state, a sound volume is reduced and the reproducing characteristics are automatically switched so as not to obstruct the concentration.
