    • An amplifier includes a main amplifier circuit and at least one auxiliary amplifier circuit. Portions of an RF signal to be amplified are delivered to the main and auxiliary amplifiers. The auxiliary amplifier circuit is selectively operable to operate in combination with the main amplifier circuit, such as based on the level of the RF signal. At least one hybrid coupler circuit has input ports coupled with outputs of the main amplifier circuit and auxiliary amplifier circuit. The hybrid coupler circuit is operable to combine amplifier circuit output signals at a coupler first output port. A coupler second output port is terminated with one of an electrical short and an electrical open circuit.

    • A line hanger for securing lines, such as transmission, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and other types of lines, to a support structure and a method of mounting and supporting one or more lines from a support structure.     • An input signal having amplitude information is pre-distorted and converted into two pre-distorted signals without amplitude information. The two pre-distorted signals are separately amplified and then recombined to generate a linearized amplified output signal having amplitude information. The pre-distortion and conversion may be implemented using a pre-distorter and a LINC modulator. Alternatively, the pre-distortion and conversion may be implemented in circuitry that combines the functions of a pre-distorter and a LINC modulator. The amplified, pre-distorted signals are preferably combined using circuitry that provides at least some impedance matching, such as a transformer or a transmission line tee with transmission line stubs.

    • Pre-distortion, whose magnitudenulland preferably phasenullare frequency-dependent, is applied to an input signal in order to reduce spurious emissions resulting from subsequent amplification of the signal. In preferred embodiments, the pre-distortion technique of the present invention is implemented in combination with the (frequency-independent) magnitude and phase pre-distortion technique described in U.S. patent application Ser. No. 09/395,490 (nullthe '490 applicationnull), where the frequency-dependent pre-distortion corresponds to amplifier distortion that has a magnitude that is proportional to the frequency offset from the carrier frequency and a phase shift of null90null on either side of the carrier frequency. The frequency-dependent pre-distortion is generated by differentiating waveforms corresponding to pre-distortion parameters with respect to time and then applying the resulting differentiated pre-distortion parameters to the input signal. Depending on the implementation, the waveforms may be differentiated in either the analog or digital domain.

    • A male coaxial connector adapted for receiving a female connection member. The male coaxial connector defines an axial direction along its major axis. The male coaxial connector also includes a first spring positioned around the male connection member. The first spring provides an axial force on the male connection member which forces the male connection member into engagement with the female connection member.

    • A coaxial connector of the type wherein an inner connector member of a female connector is adapted for secure engagement with a connector member of a male connector. The coaxial connector is positioned around the connector member of the male connector and the connector member of the female connector when the coaxial connector is in its locked position. A spring basket with an angular frontal surface is positioned around the connection member of the male connector. A sleeve with an angular internal surface for engaging the angular frontal surface of the spring basket is reciprically positioned around the spring basket and the connection member of the male connector. The sleeve has at least one locking groove that extends substantially parallel to the major axis along a portion of the body thereof. A spring nut is provided with a hollow front end disposed within the sleeve and at least one upstanding locking finger disposed within the at least one locking grove of the sleeve. A spring is partially disposed within the hollow front end of the spring nut, and the spring is positioned between the spring nut and the connection member of the male connector respectively such that when the spring nut is pushed in a forward axial direction relative to the sleeve to lock the coaxial connector, the spring is compressed and the 15 internal angular surface of the sleeve engages the angular frontal surface of the spring basket forcing the spring basket to apply a radially inward force on the connection member of the female connector, holding the female connector in place. The spring provides an axial force on the connection member of the male connector and forces the connection member of the male connector into engagement with the connection member of the female connector.
