摘要： A task light shelf system provide a task light having an elongated housing with a planar top wall structure that acts as a shelf surface. The housing of the task light has sufficient structural strength to carry loads on the shelf surface and is supported over a task area by means of angle brackets that attach to attachment slots formed in the top wall of the task light. Extended shelf surfaces can be provided by means of insert elements and angle brackets having extended attachment arms, which attach to the extended arms of the angle brackets. The insert elements can be optionally closed channel members to provide wire or cable channels behind the task light.

摘要： Plug-in connectors primarily intended for connecting lighting fixtures into system circuitry, the connectors include selector mechanisms which allow selection of a hot conductor or conductors necessary for energization of the fixtures. The connectors of the invention allow selection of a specific circuit at the job site rather than pre-wiring of a fixture to a specific circuit during factory assembly, a given fixture then being rapidly installed by plugging of the connector into a tapping port in electrical cable extending between fixtures in an installation. The selection mechanism of the invention acts primarily to change the wiring configuration of the associated fixture with the hot leg or legs of the fixture being movable to adapt to a desired specific circuit. The invention further encompasses use of the apparatus of the invention in a method for rapidly wiring fixtures into system circuitry, thereby resulting in labor and job cost savings. While the invention is particularly useful for connecting HID fixtures into system circuitry, the connectors of the invention can also be used in systems employing incandescent and fluorescent lighting as well as other appropriate electrical loads.

摘要： An emergency lighting fixture combining the functions of an illuminated sign such as an exit sign and an emergency lighting unit integrated into one housing onto which one or more emergency lights can be mounted at predetermined locations of the housing, the combined emergency lighting structure providing both exit location information and ambient emergency lighting in a single cooperatively operating device. The present device replaces bulky prior combinations of discrete exit signs and emergency lighting units which have been assembled together essentially as individual devices without integration into a single housing or without substantial integration of operational features, the housing of the present device being only slightly larger than standard exit signage. The present fixture is preferably formed from light weight materials such as polycarbonate/ABS or sheet metal configured to mount in tension internal weight such as weight due to enlarged battery mass and the like as well as externally mounted emergency lights. Manufacture of the present fixture is improved by the ability to mold major portions of the fixture from suitable polymeric materials, thereby allowing formation of substantial portions of the fixture located internally of the housing integrally with the housing to substantially reduce the number of parts necessary to be assembled together in an assembly situation. Assembly, installation and maintenance of a molded fixture according to the invention is further improved by the ability to snap-fit together all structural elements of the fixture both internally and externally of the housing.

摘要： A mounting plate capable of mounting emergency unit fixtures or similar fixtures in an industrial environment, the mounting plate of the invention being securely attachable to a variety of support structures including horizontal and vertical wall surfaces, posts of differing cross-sectional shapes and dimensions and Unistrut components. The mounting plate is formed generally as a flat body having integral portions formed out of plane to provide particular mounting functions. The unit fixtures per se mount directly to the mounting plate through engagement of openings formed on rear walls of the unit fixtures with free legs of bayonet mounts extending from a face of the mounting plate, the plate being snap-locked in certain embodiments to the fixtures, a locking mechanism being actuated on full engagement of the bayonet mounts to positively hold the unit fixtures to the mounting plate. The mounting plate can be attached to wall surfaces by means of screws after use of nailing stakes utilized for temporary holding the mounting plate to a wall. Banding or strapping elements can be used with the mounting plate to attach the mounting plate/unit fixture combination to poles of varying shape and thickness, thereby particularly allowing mounting to round and square columns and the like.

The male and female terminal housings provide structure which snap locks the terminals thereinto and which prevents axial dislodgement of the terminals from the terminal housings.
