摘要： An apparatus for dispensing articles such as tickets and cards includes a cabinet and a plurality of article dispensing assemblies inside the cabinet. Each article dispensing assembly includes a base and a frame for enclosing the articles to be dispensed in a stack. The bases are mounted on a pair of vertical support plates. A gate is disposed behind each frame for receiving articles from its associated frame and allowing only one article at a time to pass through. A toothed blade is disposed underneath each frame and a motor driven rack and pinion is coupled to the toothed blade for bringing the toothed blade into engagement with the lowermost article in the stack, moving said toothed blade so that the lowermost article is transported from the stack into the gate, bringing the toothed blade out of engagement with the article and then moving the toothed blade back to engage the next article in the stack. A removable weight is seated on top of each stack to push the stack down against the toothed blade and a plurality of exit rollers are located behind the gates for pulling tickets out of the gates of the article dispensing assemblies. In one embodiment of the invention each frame is hingedly mounted on its base. In another embodiment of the invention each frame is removably mounted on its base rather than being hingedly mounted on its base and includes an open top through which articles are loaded, a rear wall underneath which articles exit the frame, a cover for covering the top, a gate for controlling passage of articles from the underneath of the rear wall, a first locking mechanism for locking the cover in place over the top and a second locking mechanism for locking the frame in place on the base of the article dispensing assembly, the second locking mechanism also controlling the position of the gate on the frame.

A user interface means allows a user to enter a dispensing request corresponding to the selection of a desired disk and includes means for receiving user identification information, such as credit or debit card information, or other information stored magnetically on a bank card, driver's license, school identification card, or library card. Once a disk selection has been entered and user identification information received and verified, the selected disk is dispensed from the vending unit. The disks to be dispensed by the vending unit may be provided to have a region of magnetic recording media formed on one surface, and the vending unit may be equipped to write information relevant to the transaction onto the region of magnetic media.

摘要： An apparatus for dispensing articles such as tickets and cards includes a cabinet and a plurality of article dispensing assemblies inside the cabinet. Each article dispensing assembly includes a base and a frame for enclosing articles to be dispensed in a stack. The bases are mounted on a pair of vertical support plates. Each frame is hingedly mounted on one of the support plates for movement between a dispensing position and a loading position, a removable partition wall disposed inside the frame whose position in the frame can be changed to accommodate articles of different sizes, a gate behind the frame for receiving articles from the frame and allowing only one article at a time to pass through, a toothed blade disposed underneath the frame, a motor driven rack and pinion coupled to the toothed blade for bringing the toothed blade into engagement with the lowermost article in the stack, moving said toothed blade so that the lowermost article is transported from the stack into the gate, bringing the toothed blade out of engagement with the article and then moving the toothed blade back to engage the next article in the stack, a removable weight seated on top of the stack to push the stack down against the toothed blade, a first sensor assembly for sending out a signal each time an article passes through the gate, second and third sensor assemblies for sending out signals for controlling movement of the motor coupled to the rack and pinion and a fourth sensor assembly for sending out a signal when there are no articles in the frame. A plurality of exit rollers are located behind the gates for pulling tickets out of the gates of the respective dispensing assemblies. An angled tray receives articles emerging from the exit rollers and directs the articles forward to an opening in the front of the cabinet for removal.

The machine employs an upright pedestal with a top wall for supporting a stack of the articles to be dispensed, and an enclosing cabinet shell is telescopingly received over the upper end of the pedestal and has an article engaging dispensing slot. The pedestal supports the cabinet shell in telescopic position which changes incrementally each time a newspaper is vended. The article is rotated through an arc in the dispensing of the newspaper and a latch bar associated with the dispensing mechanism is movable to latched or unlatched position, dependent on whether or not proper coins have been inserted.

摘要： The interlock device includes a drive cam adapted to be positively rotated by the product dispenser mechanism, the drive cam cooperating with a locking arm, a sensing arm, a coin blockout finger, and a reset lever. The locking arm, sensing arm and reset lever are all pivotally mounted relative to the drive cam, and are all adapted to be activated upon rotation of the drive cam through direct contact with the drive cam. Deposit of the requisite coinage to achieve vending of a product allows the sensing arm''s finger to drop into a credit cam''s notch, thereby withdrawing the locking arm from interlock engagement with the drive cam. Subsequently, the drive cam is rotated as the product dispenser is activated, thereby withdrawing the sensing arm''s finger out of the credit cam''s notch and activating the reset lever to reset the credit cam to the zero coinage position. When the sensing arm''s finger drops into the credit cam''s notch, the coin blockout finger, which is counterweighted, falls by gravity into operating relation with a coin rejector; when the sensing arm''s finger is withdrawn from the credit cam''s notch, the sensing arm''s nose cams and restrains the coin blockout finger out of operating relation with the coin rejector.
