    • A method and apparatus for loading a bobbin core from a plurality of bobbin cores onto a bobbin winding device. A plurality of stacked bobbin cores are received into a first end of a first chute. The first chute has a second end positioned adjacent to a rotatable hub. A bobbin core from the plurality of stacked bobbin cores in the first chute is received into a bobbin core holder on the rotatable hub. The rotatable hub is then rotated with hub driving means such that the bobbin core holder on the rotatable hub moves from the second end of the first chute to a first end of a second chute, the first end of the second chute being positioned adjacent to the rotatable hub. The second chute also includes a second end positioned adjacent to the bobbin winding device. The bobbin core previously received into the bobbin core holder is then dispensed onto the bobbin winding device by passing the bobbin core through the second chute.

Sliver is supplied to the second drawing frame from the cans alternatingly from the first and second creel rows. A coiler can transport system moves sliver-filled cans from the can filling device to the first and second creel rows and also moves empty cans from the first and second creel rows to the can filling device. The coiler can transport system includes an intake track extending to the can filling device for supplying sliver-filled cans to the can filling device; an outlet track extending from the can filling device for removing empty cans from the can filling device; as well as first and second conveyors situated along the first and second creel rows, respectively, for moving full cans into and empty cans out of the creel rows. Both the first and the second conveyor are connected to the intake track and the outlet track.

    • The machine for ordering textile tubes for entry into the distributor of a continuous spinning machine includes mechanisms that perform that ordering so that, independently, the textile tubes can be delivered to one side or the other of the spinning machine and devices for ordering tubes of different dimensions automatically. The ordering machine has a hopper, containing textile tubes, two parallel vertical conveyor belts provided with textile tube holders for the tubes which move the tubes from one end at the hopper to another end remote from it, a bottom discharge device for feeding the ordered tubes to the spinning machine and lateral guides for guiding the tubes to the bottom discharge devices. The textile tube holders are advantageously rubber sections vulcanized onto the conveyor belt of various transverse cross-sections or metallic angular sections fastened to the conveyor belts. Devices for ejection of excess tubes are provided associated with each textile tube holder and include springs which act through belt apertures between the holders to eject all textile tubes but one from each of the tube holders. Control covers with a device for detecting a jam-up in the guides can automatically halt the operation.

    • A pallet for transporting a textile cop or tube in a textile machine transport system accommodates tubes of differing inside diameters by providing at least three independently radially positionable support elements spaced circumferentially about a tube-support spindle and extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the spindle and at least one resilient element acting radially outwardly on the support elements. The support elements are formed as fins that extend through slots in the spindle and are acted upon by torsion bars springs which spring-load adjacent fins in alternation. When textile yarn tubes are mounted on the spindles, the retaining force of the spindle increases steadily and attains its maximum once the tube is fully mounted.

    • An automated yarn conditioning apparatus and process is provided. This apparatus and process allows for unconditioned yarn packages to be brought from a source to a yarn conditioning station where they are conditioned and then ejected onto a takeaway conveyor. Yarn conditioning is achieved within an airtight chamber inside of a vessel. The yarn conditioning process used first evacuates the airtight chamber and then injects steam or other conditioning vapor into the airtight chamber while partially elevating the internal chamber pressure and/or temperature. Simultaneously with the conditioning of the yarn packages inside the airtight chamber, unconditioned yarn packages are brought to the conditioning station for placement inside the vessel when the prior conditioning step has been completed.
