    • A connector assembly allows rear repair/replacement of first contacts so that circuit protection elements may be checked for damage or replaced. A pair of inserts each having a like array of passages extending between its end faces are disposed in a connector shell one insert being fixed and adapted to receive the first contacts and the other insert being removable and carrying in its passages a second contact to mate with a first contact. The first contact carries the circuit protection element and is removably mounted in the shell with one end thereof for mating with a second contact. Means including a coupling nut removably secure the removable insert to a rearward end portion of the shell. Means including a key/keyway on the shell/removable insert align the inserts so that each array of passages is aligned with one another.

    • A filtered electrical header assembly for circuit boards. The assembly includes a housing supporting a plurality of terminals, filter means electrically coupled to the terminals, grounding means coupled to the filter means, and at least one conductive fastener for attaching the grounding means to the housing, for providing a means for mounting the housing to a circuit board, and for providing a grounding path from the grounding means through the at least one fastener to the circuit board. Two embodiments are disclosed: one employing tubular filter elements surrounding conductor pins, another employing a monolithic planar capacitor in contact with conductor pins. The invention permits a filtering capability to be incorporated into a standardized header assembly without affecting standardization.

    • An electrical filter connector includes a housing in which a dielectric insert member is positioned. A plurality of pin contacts extend through the dielectric member in parallel-spaced alignment for engaging complimentarily positioned contacts on mating connectors. Ferrite sleeves positioned over the pin contacts coact with individual metal layers deposited on the front and rear surfaces of the dielectric block and a central metal layer within the block to form individual pi filter networks for each pin contact. Electrical connections are maintained between the pin contacts and the individual metal layers by means of solder bridges which extend over the ends of the ferrite sleeves.

    • A planar transformer for power transmission, having vertical and horizontal extents, includes a circuit board having a sandwich-type structure with at least three layers to form electrical conductors. First and second layers of these layers form outer layers of the circuit board, and each additional one of these layers forms an inner layer of the circuit board. An insulation material with a minimum thickness is arranged between all of these layers, with a number of at least three mutually galvanically isolated circuits. A first circuit forms a primary circuit and each additional circuit forms an equally entitled secondary circuit, having a magnetic core assembled from two interconnected magnetic core parts. A first core part with a central part and two outer legs forms a U shape. The circuit board has two recesses, and the two outer legs of the first core part are inserted into these recesses and connected to the second core part at their ends remote from the central part. A conductor is formed on at least one of the outer layers for exactly one single circuit of the at least three circuits, and a conductor of at least one circuit of the at least three circuits is wound around a first outer leg, and conductors of at least two additional circuits of the at least three circuits are wound around the second outer leg.
