    • Disclosed is a suspension system for suspending linear fixtures from an overhead structure which permits temporary suspension of adjacent fixtures prior to final locking connection of the fixtures. The system has a hanger member comprising a bridge member, an elongated alignment member, and at least one clamping member supported from the bridge member for relative vertical movement therewith. Additionally, the clamping member has two spaced apart wings each adapted to be inserted loosely adjacent a corresponding one of a pair of adjacent clamping surfaces when tongue insert positions are inserted into alignment receiving slots. The clamping member may be moved vertically to bring the wing members into clamping engagement with the clamping surfaces and move end portions of the linear fixtures toward each other into locking engagement.

    • A track mounting system for supporting equipment, such as a dental light, includes a pan-shaped carriage which is suspended from the track mounting system and to which the light or other equipment is attached. The track mounting system includes a pair of spaced, parallel tracks which are engaged by rollers rotatably mounted on inner walls of the carriage. At least one of the rollers is formed from a relatively hard material and is concave to mate with the complementary surface on one of the tracks to provide resistance against side loads. Other rollers are formed from a relatively soft material and are convex to provide a light frictional resistance to movement of the carriage along the tracks that inhibits drift, over-travel and other inadvertent movement of the carriage, while reducing noise.

    • An illumination engine for a projection display using a TLP including a reflector having a first focal point and second focal points. A source of electro-magnetic radiation disposed proximate to the first focal point of the reflector emits rays of radiation that reflect from the reflector toward the second focal point. A TLP collects and transmits substantially all of the radiation converged at the second focal point, adjusting the numerical aperture of the radiation, but curving the surface formed by the images of the radiation. A condenser lens collects and transmits substantially all of the radiation transmitted by the contoured delay element to a PBS and a projection system.

    • The invention is a surface light source generator that can provide surface light with a high luminosity and uniformity and a small dispersion angle. The invention uses the light emitting diodes (LEDs) for industrial standard light bulb packaging as its basis. By redesigning the shape of the LED elements (e.g., hexagonal pillars, quadrangle pillars or triangular pillars) and disposing a plurality of same type LEDs together, a surface type illuminator comprised of many closely packed LED elements is formed. Using the convergent effect of the convex lens on top of the LED elements, the light dispersion angle is controlled within 15 degrees. Such a technique of packing many LED elements together can increase the unit area luminosity of the surface light source generator and, at the same time, achieve a high luminosity and uniformity.

    • The present invention relates to a series of connected light bulbs for water-tube decoration, characterized in that the serial connection of light bulb is accomplished by stamping a metallic board into a serial connection of conductive legs for the light emitting diode as a whole. After wrapping and fixing the light emitting plate in position by plastic material, it only needs to directly pull the conductive legs apart with appropriate intervals, and the series of connected light bulbs according to the present invention is formed. Such connection of the conductive legs of the bulb gives a whole piece structure with conductivity of high precision and enhances the stability of the light emission to extend the life of its usage and to show its industrial practicability and value.

    • An apparatus and method for providing a temporary spread footing for supporting a variety of different vertically extending structures. The apparatus includes a frame with a top and bottom. The frame can have a substantial space or void in between the top and bottom into which weights or devices can be placed. A connection on top of the base removably connects to the structure to be supported. Outriggers could also be used to substantially increase the overturning moment resistance of the base. The outriggers can be removable or retractable so that for transportation, the base has minimum dimensions. The method includes pre-determining the needed weight and overturning moment resistance for a particular application and transporting the base to the site and thereafter adding weight and adjusting outriggers to match the pre-determined needed overturning moment resistance.
