摘要： A smart fuel injection system for an automobile is provided for use with a multi-port engine wherein engine coolant is utilized, as well as temperature readings within the head of each of the injector nozzles in the cylinders of the engine and a variety of other known engine performance and operating condition data, to carefully adjust and maintain the air-to-fuel ratio of the engine and maximize fuel efficiency. The system includes a multi-cylinder engine having at least one fuel injector, an engine control unit, a plurality of sensors for measuring automobile operating conditions, and coolant control means for continuously regulate the quantity of engine coolant passing to the engine.

摘要： The object of the present invention is to promote warming-up operation in a cooling water flow control system of an internal combustion engine. A flow control valve is provided at a junction of a radiator passage and a bypass passage. Radiator flow rate and bypass flow rate of the flow control vale are controlled by detecting engine outlet water temperature, radiator outlet water temperature, number of revolutions of engine, and suction pipe negative pressure. The cooling water in the bypass passage passes through a throttle body, and flow rate is controlled to a totally closed flow rate or a micro-flow rate in the warming-up operation, and this contributes to the promotion of the warming-up operation.

The housing unit defines a water delivery passage and a water discharge passage. Both the passages communicate with each other through a lower opening. The water delivery passage is arranged to deliver cooling water to the engine. The water discharge passage is arranged to discharge the cooling water from the engine. The discharge passage communicates with a location out of the housing unit through an upper opening. A pressure relief valve unit extends through the lower and upper openings. The pressure relief valve unit allows the cooling water in the delivery passage to move to the discharge passage when a pressure of the delivery passage becomes greater than a preset pressure.

摘要： A rotary valve provides single point flow control of coolant within the cooling system of an internal combustion engine. The valve distributes coolant flow from the engine in predetermined flow modes to either 1) the radiator and heater simultaneously, 2) a bypass circuit only, 3) the heater only, or 4) the radiator and bypass simultaneously. The single-point coolant control results in advantages of shorter warm-up times, a lower pressure drop (reducing power consumption by the pump), reduced engine emissions and fuel consumption, improved cabin heater performance, and improved engine durability due to reduced thermal shocks to the engine components by virtue of more precise control of engine operating temperature.

摘要： To improve the performance of a cooling system for an engine which includes a cylinder bore and a water jacket formed in an engine body, and in which a thermostat is attached to the engine body so that it projects from the engine body as little as possible, and is protected against hunting regardless of abrupt variations in cooling water temperature. A cylindrical thermostat includes a sliding space therein. Furthermore, the thermostat includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet facing each other. A wax case is slidably fitted in the sliding space in order to enable or disable communication between the inlet and the outlet in response to the expansion or contraction of the wax. An axis of the sliding space is parallel to an axis of a cylinder bore. The housing is directly attached to a body of the engine.

摘要： An improved unified cooling system for an internal combustion engine that generally includes a cylinder head and a cylinder block, in which the cylinder head and cylinder block are maintained at different operating temperatures despite using only a single coolant pump. The coolant pump pumps fresh coolant through the cylinder head and cylinder block. Coolant valves, which may be thermostatic valves or electrically actuable proportional valves, lie downstream of the cylinder head and cylinder block and individually control the amount of coolant flowing through the cylinder head and cylinder block so as to maintain a lower operating temperature for the cylinder head than for the cylinder block. Coolant is directed, in various configurations, through any or all of an oil cooler, a heat exchanger for a heater for a vehicle interior, and a coolant radiator, before being directed back to the coolant pump.
