    • A mortise and tenon joint adapter system for use with a dovetail jig base and a router has a template support, a mortise shelf, mortise and tenon templates, and a layout guide. The template support mounts on the jig base and the templates mount on the template support. The mortise shelf mounts on the jig base, is vertically adjustable and clamps laterally extending mortise work pieces. Mortising and tenoning slots on the templates provide two sided guidance and full support for the router. Movable stops in the slots provide length adjustability for mortises and tenons. The layout guide assures precise layout of mortises and tenons created with the templates.

    • An apparatus which delimbs and debarks one or multiple tree stems which are fed into the apparatus by a circle loader by its boom arm and claw. The tree stem(s) are pulled through the apparatus by the circle loader as the apparatus delimbs and debarks the tree stems with a flail means of various designs and configurations. The flail means if further designed to eject material striped from the tree stems in a controlled fashion from the apparatus. Other safety features contain and prevent uncontrolled ejection of material striped from the tree stems. The flail means is further designed to assist the tree stem feeding by frictionally moving the tree stems into the apparatus with the action of one of the flail drums; and thus reducing wear and tear on the circle loader. The expanse of the feeding opening is designed to accommodate larger diameter and more numerous tree stems resulting in more efficient, faster, and safer delimbing and debarking.

    • A method of manufacturing a thermoplastic composite wood material. First, a first quantity of a first wood component of wood chips having long axes and a first size range is mixed with a second quantity of a second wood component of wood particles having a second size and a third quantity of a first thermoplastic polymer component of molten thermoplastic polymer until substantially all of the wood chips and the wood particles are encapsulated by the thermoplastic polymer. The second size range is distinct from the first size range and has substantially smaller values than the first size range. Next, the long axes of the wood chips of the first wood component are oriented such that they are substantially parallel to a predetermined plane. Next, a loose material constituting a mixture of the wood chips encapsulated in the thermoplastic polymer and the wood particles encapsulated in the thermoplastic polymer is deposited onto a press inlet feed unit while maintaining the orientation of the long axes of the wood chips. The loose material is then pressed in a direction substantially parallel to the predetermined plane such that it is compacted and such that the long axes of the wood chips are aligned substantially parallel to one another.

    • A tree delimber includes a hollow tube having opposite upper and lower ends, the upper end adapted for mounted below an aerial hoist, the lower end having an anti-rotation device mounted thereto for coupling with, mating into and temporarily entangling with the branches of a tree as the trunk of the tree is journalled upwardly through the hollow tube as the tube is lowered onto the tree and down the trunk of the tree. The anti-rotation device inhibits rotation of the tube about a longitudinal axis of symmetry of the tube. A collar is rotatably mounted to the lower end of the tube. An annular saw blade having a lower cutting edge is mounted to the collar so as to dispose the cutting edge downwardly. The cutting edge of the saw rotates in a circle contained in a plane generally perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the tube. A prime mover is mounted to the tube. The prime mover is remotely actuable by an operator and cooperates with the collar so that, once actuated, the prime mover urges the collar to rotate about the axis of symmetry of the tube while the tube is held substantially stationary relative to the trunk of a tree by the anti-rotation device engaging the branches of the tree.

It is characteristic by the construction of the entrance turnover device transversely placed between longitudinal conveyors with carriers, which has on the periphery of rotating wheels constructed movable bearing couplings, and by them fixed guiding plates with the groove inside which there are movably inserted guided bearings of bearing couplings. In the area of the entrance turnover device there are placed under an optional angle the oblique roller conveyors, inside which there are flexibly and circularly movably inserted rolls. Between the longitudinal conveyors there is placed the endless conveying chain, which has to its entire extent fastened clamping units that have inside the fixed housing inserted the clamping mechanism, the operation of which is regulated by the control field and control indicator. Over the free corner of the longitudinal conveyor there runs the oblique conveyor with carriers tilted to the longitudinal conveyor. Between longitudinal conveyors there is transversely placed the exit turnover device, which has on the periphery of rotating wheels constructed movable bearing cranks, being through the chain connected with the control chain wheel and control panel, the guided bearing of which is movably inserted inside the channel guide fixed on the rotating wheels.
