摘要： According to one aspect of the teachings herein, one or more messages are sent within or from an IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, network, to indicate the communication failure of an IMS node supporting a given IMS call session. Advantageously, the one or more messages includes a detection time of the communication failure—e.g., a timestamp—that provides a precision or resolution suitable for adapting a Charging Data Record, CDR, for the affected IMS call session. For example, charges for a portion of the IMS call session are adapted according to the detection time. More broadly, messages indicating the communication failure indication and the corresponding detection time may be exchanged between IMS nodes, e.g., to prompt session termination(s) and/or may be sent to online or offline charging or billing systems, to prevent over-charging.

摘要： The present invention discloses a method and system for obtaining access information in a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS). The method includes the following steps: during an eMBMS session, a broadcast/multicast service center (BM-SC) configures access information in one or more MBMS session signaling, and sends the MBMS session signaling to an MBMS gateway within a service area of the BM-SC; wherein the access information at least includes radio access technology type information. The present invention also discloses a method and system for charging in an MBMS. The methods and systems of the present invention can take the access information including the radio access technology type as the basis of charging, supply communication operators with a charging manner of distinguishing radio access technology types, and adopt different rates corresponding to the MBMS service areas of different radio access technology types, and thus charging can be further detailed.

摘要： A method and system for in an IMS network wherein a service provider can allow guest users who are not subscribers of the service provider to access its IMS core network and place calls to its subscribers. A session ID is associated with a specific call and exchanged between the guest user and a Border Gateway in the IMS core network. Allowed calls are restricted to certain features of the IMS core network and the SP can insure that calls can only be placed to subscribers who have agreed to accept the calls without keeping any guest information in the SP network and complex authorization sequence by subscriber. In addition, the service provider can prevent malicious guest users from gaining access to the IMS core by first requesting to call one subscriber, and then changing data in subsequent call signaling messages to call a different user number free of charge.

The method calls for receiving a notification that a Policy and Charging Rules function (PCRF) associated with the first user has not authorised the required QoS. The notification includes an indication of additional QoS required by the first user in order to achieve the required QoS. Authorization for the additional QoS for the first user is then requested from a PCRF associated with the second user. The method then calls for receiving a notification that the PCRF associated with the second user has authorised the additional QoS, and notifying the PCRF associated with the first user that the additional QoS has been authorised for the first user.
