摘要： Methods and systems for accurate gain adjustment of a transimpedance amplifier using a dual replica and servo loop is disclosed and may include, in a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) circuit comprising a first TIA, a second TIA, and a third TIA, each comprising a configurable feedback impedance, and a control loop, where the control loop comprises a gain stage with inputs coupled to outputs of the first and second TIAs and an output coupled to the configurable feedback impedance of the second and third TIAs: configuring a gain level of the first TIA by configuring its feedback impedance, configuring a gain level of the third TIA by configuring a reference current applied to an input of the first TIA, and amplifying a received electrical signal to generate an output voltage utilizing the third TIA. The reference current may generate a reference voltage at one of the inputs of the gain stage.

The loop oscillation suppressor located between the second carrier amplifier and the associated first carrier amplifier or the second peak amplifier and the associated first peak amplifier.

摘要： An input signal is amplified into an output signal that is to be applied to an electrical load including a capacitive component. An amplifier stage includes a pre-amplifier module to receive a first supply voltage, and an output module to receive a second supply voltage. The pre-amplifier module includes a first gain block to pre-amplify the input signal into a first pre-amplified signal, and a second gain block to pre-amplify the input signal into a second pre-amplified signal. A feedback block feeds back the output signal as a feedback signal. A combination element combines the first pre-amplified signal and the feedback signal into a combined signal. The output module combines the combined signal and the second pre-amplified signal into the output signal.

A power gain-boosting technique of the present invention comprises the steps of: finding the Maximum Unilateral Gain or Mason's Invariant U of a transistor; designing a linear, lossless, reciprocal network embedding the transistor so that the final equivalent S-, Y-, or Z-parameters satisfy the condition: S ⁢ 21 S 12 = Y 2 ⁢ ⁢ 1 Y 1 ⁢ ⁢ 2 = Z 2 ⁢ ⁢ 1 Z 1 ⁢ ⁢ 2 = - [ ( 2 ⁢ U - 1 ) + 2 ⁢ U ⁡ ( U - 1 ) ] ; embedding the transistor into the linear, lossless, reciprocal network; and constructing simultaneous conjugate matching.

The multi-stage TIA further includes an inverter configured to receive the equalized signal, the inverter is configured to increase a signal strength of the equalized signal to form an output signal. The multi-stage TIA further includes a feedback configured to receive the output signal, wherein the feedback is connected to an input and an output of the inverter.
