    • The present invention provides a dynamoelectric stator and a method for the manufacture thereof enabling electrical insulation properties to be improved by forming slot-housed portions with a racetrack-shaped cross section to suppress damage to an electrically-insulating coating arising during mounting of a stator winding to a stator core. The construction is such that the slot-housed portions of the stator winding are formed with the racetrack-shaped cross section, and are housed inside slots so as to line up in single columns in a radial direction with a longitudinal direction of the cross section of the slot-housed portions aligned in a circumferential direction. Thus, because short sides of the slot-housed portions facing inner circumferential side surfaces of the slots form convex curved surfaces, the occurrence of damage to the electrically-insulating coating resulting from rubbing between the short sides of the slot-housed portions and the inner circumferential side surfaces of the slots during insertion of the slot-housed portions into the slots is suppressed, thereby improving electrical insulation properties.

    • A current target angle stored in a target angle register is subtracted from the immediately preceding target angle stored in a register by a subtracting device. As a result, the length (amount) and direction between the immediately preceding target angle to the current angle are generated. With the generated length and direction, a model acceleration generating circuit generates model acceleration data. With a count value of a current velocity detecting counter and a velocity data sequence that is output from a model velocity generating circuit, velocity error data is generated. With a count value of a current position detecting counter and a position data sequence that is output from a model position generating circuit, position error data is generated. The model acceleration data, the velocity error data, and the position error data are added by an adding device. The added result is supplied to a driver. The driver outputs a current that drives a pan motor.

    • An apparatus and method for forming and placing a skein of wire on a circular array of blades of coil insertion apparatus for subsequent transfer thereby to the slots of a dynamoelectric machine stator core member to form a wave winding. A generally circular skein of wire is generated and is then initially formed into an undulating configuration having at least two convexly curved loop sections respectively joined by connecting portions to intermediate, concavely curved sections. The thus-formed skein is thereafter transferred onto the blades of the coil insertion apparatus with the loop sections being disposed on the exterior of the array and respectively spanning first groups of the blades, the intermediate sections being disposed on the interior of the array and respectively spanning second groups of the blades, and the connecting portions respectively passing between respective pairs of blades at the ends of adjacent first and second groups.
