    • A twin-shaft pump includes a working chamber; a first side plate and an opposite, second side plate bounding the working chamber; and two impellers accommodated in the working chamber and each having a first end face and an opposite, second end face. Each first end face is adjacent and oriented toward the first side plate and each second end face is adjacent and oriented towards the second end plate. There are further provided impeller bearings adjacent the first and second end faces of each impeller; and a pump drive situated adjacent the first end faces and being operatively connected to the impellers. A dish-shaped component is situated adjacent at least one of the end faces of at least one of the impellers. The dish-shaped component has an inner wall defining a dish-shaped cavity accommodating an impeller bearing which is in a supporting contact with the inner wall of the component. A stationarily held stub shaft is in alignment with the impeller bearing and projects into the cavity and the impeller bearing received therein for supporting the impeller bearing.

    • The invention relates to a suction/compression assembly for aspirating/compressing gases from/in a system to/from an external environment. The assembly includes an operating machine comprising a body, which defines a chamber, within which one or more rotors are housed, rotating about a corresponding rotation axis. Such a chamber has a symmetrical transverse section evaluated on a plane with respect to at least one first reference plane on which said rotation axis lies. The assembly comprises a device for injecting gas into said chamber which comprises a manifold, connectable to an external source, and a plurality of injection pipes connected to the manifold and to the body of the machine. The body defines a plurality of injection passages, each of which is configured to make one of said injection pipes communicating with the chamber of the machine.

    • A screw compressor includes a screw compressor rotor (32). The rotor (32) includes a helical flute (36) extending outwardly from a rotor axis (38). A compressor housing (34) surrounds the rotor (32) and including a suction port (40) and a discharge port (42). The housing (34) has an inner housing wall (46) abutting the rotor (32) and an outer housing wall (50) forming an exterior of the compressor. A housing pocket (44) is located between the outer housing wall (50) and the inner housing wall (46). An economizer port (30) extends from the housing pocket (44) through the inner housing wall (46) to direct a flow of gaseous refrigerant into the compressor.
