摘要： The thixotropic polyurethane composition comprises: a liquid of a polyurethane prepolymer having at least two terminal free isocyanate groups and a block polyether compound having at least two terminal secondary alcohol groups. The block polyether compound is a reaction product obtained by addition polymerization of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in a block form to a starting material having two or three terminal active hydrogen groups in such a polymerization degree that said block polyether compound includes 30 to 409 moles of ethylene oxide and 3 to 172 moles of propylene oxide per molecule and the molar ratio between ethylene oxide and propylene oxide is within the range of 1 : 0.05 to 1 : 0.5. The thixotropic polyurethane composition may further include an inorganic material for enhancing the thixotropic property.

摘要： An isocyanate terminated prepolymer has been discovered that has sufficiently low glass transition temperature (Tg), necessary rheological properties and mechanical properties that allows for the making of adhesive compositions useful for bonding substrates into larger structures (e.g., windows in vehicles and buildings) with minimal or no plasticizers. The polyether prepolymer comprises a polyisocyanate reaction product of a polyisocyanate having an isocyanate functionality of greater than 2 and a polyether monol having an average molecular weight (Mw) of 1000 to 2000 g/moles and said prepolymer having: (i) a weight molecular weight average (Mw) of about 2000 to about 30,000 g/mole, (ii) a free isocyanate content of 0.8% to 4% by weight of said prepolymer, and (iii) viscosity of 1000 to 50,000 centipoises.

They can be made by reacting a low equivalent weight polyol with a polyisocyanate in the presence of an isocyanate trimerization catalyst while dispersed in a base polyol. These polyol dispersions are useful as the resin component of curable systems such as formulated coatings, sealants or adhesives.
