摘要： A front-edge paper feeding device is applicable for automatically conveying a stack of cardboards one by one. During operation, the stack of cardboards is placed on a grid plate, and a control element is provided for controlling the grid plate to elevate and descend reciprocally. When the grid plate elevates, the cardboards are separated from a conveyor wheel. When the grid plate descends, the conveyor wheel is exposed, such that the conveyor wheel is in contact with the cardboard. A servomotor is provided for controlling intermittent rotations of the transmission shaft while driving the conveyor wheel, so that the conveyor wheel drives the cardboard to move in order to convey and output the cardboard smoothly.

摘要： A timed feeder for feeding corrugated boards to nip rolls of a box finishing machine. A feed member is raised to the feed path to engage and drive a board to the nip rolls and then lowered away from the feed path until the next cycle. An indexing drive mechanism, driven by a computer-controlled servo motor, activates the feed member and has a feed phase when it drives the board to the nip rolls, and a dwell phase when the feed member is away from the feed path and the output shaft of the indexing mechanism is at zero velocity. During the feed phase, the output shaft of the indexing mechanism accelerates the feed member and the board beyond the nip roll velocity and then decelerates them to the nip roll velocity at the point where the board enters the nip rolls. During the dwell phase the input shaft which was at constant velocity during the feed phase, is either accelerated and then decelerated or decelerated and then accelerated to shorten or increase the duration of the cycle allowing different size articles to be fed with minimum or zero spacing downstream of the nip rolls.

摘要： A separating and feeding machine is disclosed for removing a succession of bound booklets or the like from a supply hopper adapted to hold a stack of the booklets for feeding them to a subsequent apparatus for further processing. The separating and feeding machine includes a reciprocating vacuum feed plate disposed in the bottom of the hopper for advancing the bottom booklet through a discharge opening to a take away feed mechanism, and includes first and second stage separating mechanism which initially maintains at least the bottom two booklets in the hopper in shingled relationship to expose a marginal portion thereof adjacent the bound edge so that a pressing member can maintain a normal force on the exposed marginal portion of the bottom booklet to prevent it from wrinkling and becoming jammed in the discharge opening while the vacuum feed plate is moving it toward the discharge opening. The second stage separating separater further ensures that only one booklet at a time can pass through the discharge opening.
