    • A reclosable wiper blade package for holding a beam-type wiper blade having a wiper blade adapter-receiving cradle of a blade receiving cavity formed in one of a pair of package halves that is configured for snap fit engagement with an adapter of the wiper blade releasably retained in the blade receiving cavity. The cradle can also be configured to locate and orient arms of the wiper blade so they engage a corresponding blade arm seat in a substantially straightened condition orienting the blade on its side. One or both package halves are formed with elongate ribs that can define package sidewalls that can even form at least part of the blade receiving cavity that can have spaced apart rib-strengthening gussets where rib width is narrowed or constricted.

    • A wiper for an automobile rearview mirror includes a transmitting device, an elongate connect rod fixed on the rotary shaft lengthwise, and an elongate wiper. The transmitting device is fixed on a rear surface of a base of a rearview mirror, having a rotary shaft positioned on the front surface of the base and driven by the transmitting device to swing up and down on the surface of the mirror body. The wiper is wrapped around the connect rod, so the wiper, the connect rod and rotary shaft are moved together by the transmitting device. The base has a circumferential stop edge on the circumference for stopping the wiper, and when the wiper is swung to reach the upper or the lower stop edge of the base, it can reversely be swung to reciprocate up and down to wipe raindrops on the surface of the mirror body.

    • A windshield washer and wiper assembly for cleaning a windshield of an automobile. The assembly is generally comprised of an elongated housing, a source of windshield washer fluid under pressure, a perforated bladder within the housing, means for washing the windshield mounted through the housing in contact with the bladder, a wiper blade mounted on the housing and means for deflating the bladder. The bladder, upon actuation of the washer fluid source, inflates with washer fluid, urging the washing means against the windshield while simultaneously disengaging the wiper blade from the windshield. The bladder returns to a contracted state by the deflating means upon deactivation of the washer fluid source to return the wiper blade to the windshield surface.

    • A headlamp wiper assembly, for spraying and wiping headlamps including one or more wiper arms and blades fixed to pivot about a common axis with the wiper blade consisting of a backing strip having key slots therein and an open aperture at one end, along with a multifarious wiping element having a plurality of T-shaped projections for fitting in the key slots in the backing strip and a projection at the end thereof for buttoning the backing strip to the wiping element upon stretching the wiping element. The wiping element is provided with a plurality of angularly related wiper facets for engaging with and cleaning the headlamp. The assembly is provided with a drive shaft interconnected to oscillate the wiper arm and blade through a bracket assembly, the end portion of the drive shaft being provided with a nozzle means having one or more openings and oscillates with the wiper arms and blades and sprays the headlamps adjacent the wiping element as they oscillate. The assembly is provided with crank assembly for translating the rotary motion of a motor to the necessary oscillating motion of the drive shaft to drive the wiper arms and blades through one or more wiping cycles. The angularly related wiper facets on the wiper blade lay over in overlapping relationship in a trailing position with respect to the washer spray to more effectively clear the headlamp surface.
