摘要： The present disclosure provides for a process for manufacturing of dipped latex products without using any animal derived ingredients and dipped latex products produced by said process. The disclosed process successfully over comes drawbacks of drop in product yield (due to coagulum formation) and burst pressures caused by absence-of casein in latex formulation. Therefore, the dipped latex products so produced through the process have final composition similar to that of any other dipped latex products with casein except for absence of casein and having 0.8 phr of Sulphur as against 0.6 phr of Sulphur in routine manufacturing. The products also exhibit physical properties similar to that of any other dipped latex products with casein, such as burst pressure and burst volume.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for forming an article comprising a pathway of particles wherein a termination of the pathway of particles is exposed. The method comprises arranging the particles by applying an electric field and/or a magnetic field at an interface between a water soluble or a non-water soluble matrix and a matrix comprising a viscous material and particles. After fixating the viscous material, the termination is exposed by dissolving the water soluble or non-water soluble matrix. The invention also relates to articles obtainable by said method, and to the use of said method in various applications.

摘要： The invention includes a composition to coat a substrate comprising: an asphalt material; a polymer that is not a polyol; and a polyol. The polyol has a molecular weight of about 1000 to about 5000 and/or the polyol is present in an amount no greater than about 30% by weight of the total composition. Also included are coated articles that comprise a substrate coated with a coating layer, wherein the coating layer is formed from a composition that comprises: an asphalt material, a polymer that is not a polyol; and a polyol. Also included are methods of improving the processability of a asphalt material comprising combining together an asphalt material, a polymer that is not a polyol, and a polyol, wherein the resultant composition exhibits improved processability as compared to an asphalt composition that does not contain a polyol. In the method in some embodiments, the polyol may be present in the resultant composition in an amount of no greater than 30% by weight and/or the polyol may have a molecular weight of about 1000 to about 5000. In some embodiments, the composition of the method does not contain at least one of a plasticizer and a surface active agent.

摘要： Co-cured urethane and vinyl ester, epoxy, or unsaturated polyester gel coats having improved toughness and flexibility compared with conventional polyester gel coats are disclosed. The gel coats, which have 10-50 wt. % urethane content, adhere well to structural layers and can be used in a traditional in-mold process. Co-cured elastomeric coatings comprising from 50 to 95 wt. % of a urethane component and an unsaturated polyester, epoxy, or vinyl ester are also disclosed. Unlike conventional urethane coatings, the elastomeric coatings adhere well to structural layers and can be used in a traditional in-mold process. Castings or structural layers comprising a reinforced thermoset of co-cured urethane and vinyl ester, epoxy, or unsaturated polyester components, including 10-95 wt. % of the urethane component, are also described. The invention includes in-mold processes for making laminates that utilize the gel coats, elastomeric coatings, and/or structural layers. The in-mold process gives flexible, durable, urethane-containing laminates having good interlayer adhesion.

摘要： Cured flexible sealant may be removed from a substrate if the cured flexible sealant includes within its volume a susceptor such as metal susceptor particles. Removal proceeds by exposing the sealant with the susceptor to radio-frequency radiation sufficient to cause dielectric heating in the susceptor. The consequent heating in the cured sealant reduces the bond strength of the cured sealant. The reduced bond-strength sealant may be removed by physical methods, such as scraping etc., much more easily than the original (unexposed) cured sealant. Also disclosed are sealant compositions with susceptor, susceptor tools to introduce susceptor into cured sealant, and handheld radio-frequency heaters to apply radio-frequency radiation to cured sealant.

The shell is formed on a mold or mandrel, and is then immersed in a hot liquid bath to cure the shell material. Multiple layers of material, such a silicone, may be formed by immersing the layer into a hot liquid bath, cooling the cured layer, applying another layer of uncured material to the cured layer, and then curing the uncured layer in a hot liquid bath. A textured surface may be imparted to the shell by incorporating a texture component into the last layer formed, such that immersing the uncured layer incorporating the texture component in the hot liquid bath cures the last layer formed and dissolves the texture component.

摘要： Provided are compositions and methods for making a variety of products. The methods involve mixing sucker ring teeth (SRT) protein and a plasticizer or a solvent to obtain a mixture of the SRT protein and the plasticizer. When the SRT is mixed with a plasticizer it is heated to between 32° C. and 195° C. to obtain an SRT protein melt. The melt is used to form a wide variety of products. When the SRT is mixed with a solvent, such as an organic solvent or an aqueous solvent, a solution of the SRT protein is formed, and is subsequently used to forming a product from the solution, wherein the product contains SRT protein.
