摘要： A baseplate is mounted on the upper surface of the ski adjacent to the heel of the skiing boot and extends normally in the longitudinal direction of the ski and is rotatable on a vertical axis against a preferably adjustable resistance. A boot carrier is hinged to the baseplate at the forward end of the latter and holds the skiing boot so that the latter is only arbitrarily detachable. The rear end of the boot carrier is lifted from the baseplate against a preferably adjustable resistance. The boot carrier comprises a frame and extends across the baseplate adjacent to the skiing boot. The forward end member of the frame constitutes a hinge pin, which is rotatably mounted on the baseplate. The rear ends of the baseplate and boot carrier are connected by a spring-loaded tension cable and winder assembly.

摘要： This invention is an improvement over the structure illustrated in U.S. Pat. No. 3,902,730. The ski binding includes a pair of pivoted sole holders pivotal about axles which are fixed to the ski. The sole holders each have two arms, one of which engages the ski boot adjacent the toe thereof and the other arm engaging a structural part which is under spring tension, which spring tension must be overcome in order to effect a release of the ski boot from the ski. Structure is provided to interrupt the transfer of force of the ski boot acting on the spring intermediate the travel of the particular sole holder so that a decrease in the force resisting movement of the ski boot occurs and the ski boot can be freely removed from engagement with the ski.

摘要： A safety ski binding includes a movable boot supporting plate detachably secured to a ski. A retaining bolt mounted on the ski for both longitudinal and pivotal movement engages a recess or ramp formed on one end of the plate and is held against movement by a spring biased piston engaging a camming surface mounted on the bolt or the ski with the piston mounted on the other of the bolt or the ski. The other end of the plate is held to the same by any suitable device. The contour of the camming surface determines the value of the resilient resistance holding the bolt against movement.

摘要： A ski boot heel release binding, comprises a mounting base plate which is adjustably connected to a toe jaw part via a touring plate. The base plate includes an upstanding portion which supports a transversely positioned heel mounting pivot. A heel holder includes a slot which is vertically elongated on the holder in the closed position which forms a guide for the mounting pivot to pivotally mount the heel holder on the base plate upstanding portion. The heel holder includes a heel engaging sole-holder portion and a treadnose portion which may be engaged by the boot when in an open position to press the heel holder downwardly by rotation on its pivot to a closed position. A bolt pivot is carried on the heel holder at the lower end on the end opposite the nose and it rides in a guideway of a rotatable disc which is mounted on the upstanding portion for rotation thereon. A release lever is pivotally mounted adjacent the guide disc and it includes a first arm portion which carries an adjustable cam thereon which may be positioned to engage a control pin on the guide member in a closed position of the binding.

摘要： A release binding for skis is usable both for touring or cross-country and downhill runs. It comprises a touring plate which has a front end portion which is pivotally mounted at its front end for movement about a horizontal axis which extends transverse to the longitudinal axis of the ski. The touring plate also includes a rear portion which is connected through a length adjustment mechanism to a heel holder portion. A sole holder is connected to the front end of the touring plate and it carries a blocking part which is seated on the touring plate and it includes an upstanding part adjacent its front end which is disposed above the horizontal pivotal axis of the touring plate which bears against a blocking element which is mounted on the ski ahead of the touring plate and is biased by a spring against the blocking part. When the touring plate is pivoted upwardly during a cross-country run, the blocking element is displaced rearwardly against the biasing force of the spring.

摘要： On a support for attachment to a ski there is at least one ski-boot clamp that is movable from a boot-clamping to a boot-releasing position. A leaf spring has one end disposed in the clamp while means on the support hold the other end of the spring. The spring normally holds the clamp in clamping position but yields to a force sufficient to cause the spring to bend to permit the clamp to be moved out to boot-releasing position. The spring is curved transversely, with its concave side facing in the direction of the counter force that the spring exerts on the clamp while resisting movement of the clamp toward releasing position.
