摘要： For a magnetic disk apparatus for reading and writing information to a magnetic disk in the present invention, the recessed portion of the cover of the magnetic disk apparatus has a two-level structure; the space between the inner surface of the recessed portion, corresponding to the region of the magnetic disk surface which the actuator arm does not traverse, and the surface of the magnetic disk is made as narrow as possible. The air flow generated in that space by the rotation of the magnetic disk is thereby suppressed and as a result, magnetic disk resonance is suppressed. Also, the noise level is further suppressed by having two layers of damping plates attached to the outer surface of the cover.

摘要： Compressor shoe is manufactured by cutting a wire into cut pieces each having a volume approximately equivalent to that of a desired shoe. The cut piece is sequentially forged with forging dies having three cavities. The cut piece is first forged to a cylindrical shape with a small rounded portion, then to a rugby ball shape, and then to a shape corresponding to a shoe shape. A finishing step, including heat treatment, is then carried out to obtain a compressor shoe.

摘要： A method for improving the qualities of meat which comprises treating a meat piece with an ester represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represents a saturated or unsaturated monocarboxylic acid residue having 2 to 24 carbon atoms while the other represents a dicarboxylic acid residue;a meat piece which has been treated by this method, and a composition comprising the ester and a protease are disclosed. By treating a meat (for example, cattle meat, fowl meat) in accordance with the method of the present invention, a meat piece having a tender texture and a high juiciness can be obtained, in particular, in the case of a meat piece of a certain size or larger or minced meat.
