摘要： An optical position location apparatus for locating the position of an object in one or more dimensions, which relies upon one or more sources of radiant energy and distributor devices to disburse such radiant energy over a location region or window. Integrated collector assemblies positioned opposite to the distributors receive and collect the transmission of the distributed radiant energy and through reflection or refraction, transfer radiant energy to a minimum of detection locations to monitor the absence or alteration thereof. A rotating optical scanner and a detector are utilized with a continuous stationary light source to successively monitor specific location-coordinate-related portions of transmitted radiant energy and through electronic circuitry, a signal is developed to disclose, with accuracy, the location of objects within the location region "window", as well as other parameters including object size. In other embodiments, an apparatus with elements cooperating along two dimensions is capable of yielding three-dimensional object parameter information.

The accessory includes a first figure toy in the shape of a toy horse, and a second figure toy such as a cowboy for riding the horse and for removal therefrom. A frame is provided having an inclined ramp portion for rollably supporting the horse for movement on a path of travel generally parallel with the tracks of the model train. The frame includes a dismounting cam device at the lower end of the inclined ramp portion, which engages the foot of the cowboy figure on the side of the horse opposite the train tracks thereby causing the cowboy to dismount or alight from the horse directly onto a moving train, particularly a certain car thereof. A selectively operable lock is provided on the frame to maintain the horse and rider at the top of the ramp and for releasing the horse, causing him to travel down the ramp, in a timed relationship so that the rider successfully boards the moving train.

The playing pieces include flanges or wings protruding from the sides thereof with which opposing playing pieces in opposite channels can be caused to contact one another in an attempt to dislodge the playing pieces from the track, forming channels, and thereby score points or alternatively prevent the scoring of points, as in a Roller Derby game. The track-forming channels are variably spaced relative to each other at various points along the oval platform to permit opposing playing pieces to pass one another at selected points along the track.

An electric motor having a drive shaft to engage and rotate the disk is provided. A transparent cover is positioned on the annular plastic housing a small distance above the rotatable disk to provide a raceway between the disk and the cover. Walls depend from the transparent cover and terminate slightly above the rotatable disk. The walls are shaped to form pockets and flow paths as well as barricades for the pockets around the periphery of the transparent cover. A plurality of small, somewhat cylindrical plastic parts are placed on the disk to be moved through the raceway upon rotation of the disk. Each pocket has an inlet opening facing the direction of rotation of the disk and an outlet opening facing away from the direction of rotation of the disk. A gate to open and close the outlet opening of each pocket is installed. An arm swingable in an arc across a portion of the cover is installed at each pocket. Each arm has a guide portion normally biased to a position to block the entrance to its pocket. Each guide portion has a pair of fingers to receive one of the small, plastic cylindrical parts lengthwise and admit into the pocket when the guide is swung to the entrance to the pocket. The pockets are each designated by a distinctive color, and an equal number of the small, plastic cylindrical parts are identified with the color of a pocket.

摘要： A musical instrument having a housing. A well is formed in one surface of the housing and adapted to receive a card. A slide is mounted on the housing for movement across the surface of the card. The card containing printed indicia, each of which represents a note of a musical composition with the indicia arranged in a generally rectangular matrix. The indicia on the card are arranged in one direction across the matrix to indicate the sequence of notes played in a musical composition from the beginning to the end thereof. The indicia are arranged in the direction across the matrix extending at right angles to the sequence of playing to indicate changes in frequency of the notes from the lowest frequency on one side of the matrix to the highest frequency on the other side. The slide extends across the card and the well in the direction of the sequence of playing the notes of the composition. The slide is mounted to permit its movement across the face of the card in the direction of change of frequency and the slide can be stopped at any selected position in this direction. An electrical contact is carried by the slide. A plurality of stationary electrical contacts are positioned in the path of movement of the slide contact. The card is indexed so that all of the indicia representing a note of particular frequency aligned with a particular stationary electrical contact so that positioning of the slide over the printed indicia of notes of the same frequency on the card will position the slide contact and a particular stationary frequency contact in electrical engagement. An electronic apparatus is connected to each stationary frequency contact to sound a musical note of a selected frequency when the slide is positioned over the printed indicia on the card representing the notes of that frequency.

摘要： A board game including a base having a path on which playing pieces can be moved from a starting point to a finish point. A number of dunking stations for the playing pieces are located along the path. Each dunking station includes a tiltable platform for dumping a playing piece located thereon into a water container. A water reservoir is supported on a tower located adjacent to the base. A water distributor is positioned between the water reservoir and the water containers. A number of intermediate water containers are located between the reservoir and the distributor. A conduit connects the reservoir, the intermediate water containers and the distributor. A valve controls the flow of water from the top reservoir to the conduit. A first marble track is arranged to discharge a marble into the water distributor. A second downwardly inclined track is also supported on the tower. The first marble is released when water fills one of the intermediate water containers. The second marble is releasably actuated by the first marble rolling down the first track. A valve is opened by the second marble rolling down the second track. The distributor is equipped with a number of water discharge outlets, any one of which is closable by the first marble seating in the outlet.
