    • A novel flow sensor which includes a wall in a fluid path, a substrate installed on the wall, a flow sensor constructed with at least one electric resistor formed on the substrate, and a construction for reducing turbulence caused by an existence of the flow sensor. The construction for reducing turbulence may be that an upstream side edge of the substrate is formed into a slope shape, a stair shape or a streamline. The construction for reducing turbulence may also be that the substrate is embedded into the wall. In a case that the substrate of the sensor is installed on a support board set in the fluid path, at least an upstream side edge of the support board may be formed into an acute angle or a streamline. Using the apparatus, the turbulence caused by the existence of a vertical wall is reduced because a size of vertical wall portions is small.

    • A sealing structure for sealing a gap between a side sill of a vehicle body and a side sill garnish includes a generally tabular lip portion, a connecting portion branching from an intermediate region of a backside of the lip portion, and a fixing portion connecting with a lower end of the connecting portion and extending along the back side of a top end portion of a side sill garnish. The side sill garnish has an upper wall, a lower wall, and a channel on an end face of a top end portion. The upper wall, the lower wall, and the channel extend in the longitudinal direction of the side sill garnish. The lip portion is inserted into the channel and the fixing portion is adhered to the back side of the top end portion by double-sided adhesive tape.

    • The invention solves the inconvenience that a customer would experience when his/her electronic wallet was lost or broken down. A backup condition testing means tests predefined backup conditions to determine whether to make a backup, when an electronic wallet device communicates with any other device to transfer monetary data. When the backup condition testing means has determined to make a backup, a backup data sending means sends a predetermined set of backup data collected from the electronic wallet device. A backup data management means receives the backup data from the backup data sending means and saves the received data into its backup database. In this way, the proposed system automatically saves backup data of the electronic wallet device when any backup condition is met. This mechanism permits the customer to have an alternative electronic wallet device to be promptly issued when his/her electronic wallet device is lost.
