    • There is provided a method of manufacturing a liquid discharge head having a substrate including energy generating elements, and a discharge port member, which is provided with discharge ports and is joined to the substrate, thereby forming liquid flow paths communicating with the discharge ports. The method includes, in the following order, preparing a conductive base on which a first insulating resist and a second insulating resist for forming the discharge ports are stacked in this order; performing plating using the first resist and the second resist as masks, and forming a first plated layer; removing the second resist; performing plating on the base using the first resist as a mask, thereby forming a second plated layer so as to cover the first plated layer; removing the base and the first resist, thereby forming the discharge port member; and joining together the substrate and the discharge port member.

    • A method for manufacturing an inkjet recording includes forming a photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer containing a photo-cationic polymerizable resin material on a substrate; performing pattern exposure of the photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer to form a latent image of a fine pattern including an ejection port; forming a water repellent layer containing a water repellent material capable of forming a bond in reaction with the photo-cationic polymerizable resin material on the photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer; developing the photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer to thereby remove a non-exposed portion of the photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer and remove a water repellent layer portion corresponding to the non-exposed portion to thereby form the fine pattern; and curing the photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer by heat treatment to form a member provided with the fine pattern and promote a reaction of the photo-cationic polymerizable resin material and the water repellent material.

    • Patterning is performed to thermal oxide films 12a and 12b formed on both surface sides of a silicon substrate in which crystal orientation of a surface is (100) or (110), a liquid chamber pattern and a liquid supplying port pattern are formed, and a liquid chamber and a liquid supplying port are formed separately by anisotropically etching the silicon substrate from both surface sides at the same time. Then, a silicon nitride film is deposited with a low pressure chemical vapor deposition to both surface sides of the silicon substrate and all faces of the liquid chamber and the liquid supplying port which are formed by etching. As a result, when the silicon substrate is used for a top plate, stiffness of the top plate is improved, design freedom of the liquid chamber and the liquid supplying port is increased, misalignment is prevented in bonding to the substrate, degradation of ejecting performance is prevented, and a liquid discharge head having high preciseness and high reliability can be provided.

    • A method for manufacturing an orifice plate with a plate material having a through hole arranged to become an orifice for discharging liquid comprises the steps of arranging a resin layer in a position corresponding to the through hole on the surface of a conductive substrate in a configuration corresponding to the through hole in a thickness corresponding at least to the lenght of the through hole, forming a metallic layer by means of electro-forming on the exposed surface of a portion of the conductive substrated corresponding to the plate material in a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the plate material in order to obtain the metallic layer in a state where the resin layer is filled in the through hole portion, applying water repellent resin to the surface of the metallic layer having the resin layer filled therein, peeling off the metallic layer from the conductive substrate together with the resin layer to obtain the plate material in a state where the through hole portion is filled with the resin layer, and removing by laser irradiation the resin layer portion of the plate material in a state where the resin layer is filled in the through hole portion having the water repellent layer coated on the surface in order to form the through hole.

    • A liquid ejection head cartridge includes a liquid ejecting head and a liquid container. The liquid ejection head includes an ejection outlet, a bubble generation region, and a movable member disposed faced to the bubble generation region and displaceable between a first position and a second position further from the bubble generation region than the first position. The movable member moves from the first to the second position by pressure produced by the generation of a bubble to permit expansion of the bubble more in a downstream side closer to the ejection outlet. The liquid container includes a substantially prism-like outer wall provided with a substantial air vent portion and having a corner, and an inner wall having a prism-like shape with outer surfaces substantially equivalent to inside surfaces of the outer wall and having a corner portion corresponding to the corner of the outer wall, the inner wall being separable from the outer wall and defining a liquid accommodating portion for containing liquid, the inner wall further having a liquid supply portion for supplying the liquid out of the liquid accommodating portion to the liquid ejection head. The inner wall has a thickness which is smaller in the corner portion than a thickness of a central portion of the outer surfaces of the inner wall.
