摘要： Systems and methods for pulse stretching architectures for phase alignment of multi-frequency clocks for high speed data acquisitions are disclosed. A high speed data acquisition system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver includes a multi-frequency clock generator that generates a plurality of clock signals, a pattern check module that detects a test pattern received from the transmitter and outputs a stretch command signal, and a stretch pulse generator that receives the stretch command signal and provides a stretch pulse signal that aligns the phases of the plurality of clock signals generated by the multi-frequency clock generator. Methods for initializing and shifting multi-phase clock signals to optimize error performance of a high speed data acquisition system are also provided.

摘要： A system and method is provided for supplying power over a home phone line network in a manner that is interoperable with other voice and data services operating on the same network. The system includes a power source coupled to the home phone line network. The power source includes an AC signal generator that generates an AC signal at a selected frequency. The power source also includes a band pass filter for removing unwanted harmonics from the AC signal, thereby generating a filtered AC signal for powering one or more devices on the home phone line network. One or more devices attached to the home phone line network, such as a telephone adapter or telephone, receives the filtered AC signal. Each device comprises a second band pass filter and an AC/DC converter. The second band pass filter passes the filtered AC signal to the AC/DC converter and prevents the introduction of undesired harmonics onto the home phone line network from the AC/DC converter. The AC/DC converter converts the filtered AC signal to a DC signal used for powering the device.

摘要： An improved dither generation circuit and method for digital audio circuits uses a high-pass filter to reduce the energy contained in the audio band of the dither signal. The resulting dither signal is applied to the circuit in its main feedback loop and is effective to prevent idle tones. Because of its spectrally shaped characteristic this dither signal introduces less noise into the audio band of interest and thereby improves the overall signal-to-noise ratio of the audio circuit. In an embodiment, the dither signal is generated using pseudo-random numbers that are then interpreted as 2's complement numbers.

If a processor overheats beyond a critical temperature, a temperature monitor receives the thermal trip signal, and turns off an enable signal to a voltage control module that control power to the processors. The temperature monitor also triggers a system reset. Upon reset, the temperature monitor ensures that all nodes, other than the node with the overheated processor, return to an operational state.

The performance factors that can be modified include the acquisition rate, loop bandwidth, and damping factor of the phase locked loop system within the signal recovery system.

摘要： A water pressure regulator with check valve for sprinklers comprising a housing, a shaft assembly, a spring, and a skirt element. The pressure regulator is a separate unit that can be inserted into the stem or movable riser of a typical pop-up sprinkler or other sprinklers. As the irrigation water passes through the pressure regulator of the present invention, the water pressure displaces the shaft assembly upward relative to the housing. The higher the shaft assembly is displaced, the smaller the cross-sectional area through which water passes within the housing or skirt element. The variation in the size of the cross-sectional area allows the present invention to regulate the out flowing water pressure of the irrigation water. When the flow of irrigation water stops, the spring pushes the shaft assembly downward so as to seal the hole through which water flows thus serving as a check valve. The separate unit design allows the pressure regulator of the present invention to be retrofittable into a common pop-up sprinkler.

摘要： In one embodiment, a system and associated processes for transparent client-side cryptography are provided. In this system, some or all of a user's private data can be encrypted at a client device operated by the user. The client can transmit the encrypted user data to a content site that hosts a network application, such as a social networking application, financial application, or the like. The content site can store the private data in its encrypted form instead of the actual private data. When the content site receives a request for the private data from the user or optionally from other users (such as social networking friends), the server can send the encrypted user data to a client associated with the requesting user. This client, if operated by an authorized user, can decrypt the private data and present it to the authorized user.
