    • A keyboard apparatus constructed to be capable of reducing the depth size thereof and permitting a key unit to be mounted to a key frame with a simple operation. Hinges are extended downward from rear ends of black key main bodies of a black key unit in the vertical direction, and are connected at their lower ends to a common-to-black-keys base end. The black key main bodies are pivotable via the hinges relative to the common-to-black-keys base end in the key depression/release direction. Similarly, white key main bodies of first and second white key units are pivotable via hinges relative to a common base end in the vertical direction. The key frame is formed at its rear portion with a recessed groove over the entire width of all keys and formed with elastic members extending in the front-to-rear direction on the front and rear sides of the recessed groove. Using elastic deformations of the elastic members, a common-to-all-keys base end of the key unit is fitted and fixed to the recessed groove.

A to-be-authenticated data generation unit generates data to be authenticated based on the extracted fingerprint feature data and a fingerprint authentication unit collates the data to be authenticated with fingerprint authentication data registered in a fingerprint authentication database.

As a result, the drain-source voltage at the selected cell transistor to be programmed can be optimized, and optimization of the programming can be implemented.

    • There is provided a spoken dialog system, in which an interactive operation is effectively carried out in a natural manner as to a speech containing words out of a set vocabulary. The spoken dialog system is arranged by comprising: an input storing unit for storing therein an input voice; a dictionary storing unit for classifying a key word to be recognized every item so as to define the classified key word; a dictionary selecting unit for selecting a key word from the dictionary storing unit to thereby output the selected key word as a recognized dictionary; a voice recognizing unit for recognizing the input voice with employment of the recognized dictionary selected from the dictionary selecting unit, and for outputting the extracted key word candidate in combination with the recognition section; a confirmed history storing unit for storing therein a key word candidate confirmed by a user as a determined key word; and a dialog managing unit for judging as to whether or not an input voice other than the determined key word is again recognized and for executing such operations that when the judgment result is the recognition to be once again performed, both an item and the determined key word are transferred as dictionary selection information to the dictionary selecting unit, and a section of an input voice other than the determined key word is updated as a re-recognition section. The updated confirmation section is also instructed to the voice recognizing unit.

If the action is judged to be feasible, the action feasibility judging unit 19 outputs an action command to an external application 20. If the action is not judged to be feasible, the action feasibility judging unit 19 outputs a new system goal to the goal frame generating unit 17.     • A keyboard unit for an electronic musical instrument is constructed by a plurality of keys, a key frame, a plurality of key guides and a pressure sensor. On the key frame, a plurality of keys are arranged such that each of them can freely rotate about the predetermined fulcrum point. The key guides are provided on the key frame, while each of the key guides supports each of the keys such that each of the keys can slide along guide surfaces of each of the key guides when the key is depressed. The pressure sensor is provided at the guide surface of the key guide. This pressure sensor senses the pressure applied thereto in a lateral direction corresponding to a disposing direction of the keys in the keyboard unit when the key is depressed. When the key is moved in the lateral direction while being depressed down, the pressure sensor senses the pressure applied to the key in the lateral direction so that the predetermined musical parameter (e.g., tone pitch) of the musical tone to be generated is controlled responsive to the sensed pressure. The pressure sensor can be made by use of the pressure-sensitive rubber or pressure-sensitive ink, of which resistance is altered responsive to the pressure applied to it.
