    • A zero-crossing gain control system is disclosed herein. The system comprises a gain control unit for amplifying an input signal to an output signal, a zero-crossing monitoring circuit for monitoring the input signal or output signal, and a register for latching the digital control signal and generating a gain control signal that controls the gain control unit. The system may further comprise a maximum write time setting circuit for generating a write signal. The digital control signal is written into the register when a zero-crossing state is monitored or a maximum write time since a change occurred on of the digital control signal is expired. An automatic gain control system is also disclosed herein and further comprises a peak detecting circuit for detecting the level of output signal, a logic circuit for lowering or restoring the digital control signal according to the result from the peak detecting circuit.

    • A method for sensing channel availability in a wireless network includes receiving a measurement request message which includes a channel interval list. A first channel interval in the list includes information associated with a first starting channel number, a first number of channels, and first linkage information of the channel interval list. The method includes processing information associated with the message, generating a first list of contiguous channels, and performing at least first channel measurement to determine a first channel availability for each of the first list of contiguous channels. The method also includes determining whether the channel interval list further includes a second channel interval that needs to be processed based on at least first linkage information, and if needed, generating a second list of contiguous channels and performing at least second channel measurement to determine a second channel availability for each of the second list of contiguous channels.

    • A processing method, a system, and an apparatus for component installation are disclosed herein. The processing method includes: receiving a component from a server; and determining operations to be performed on the received component according to state information set for a removed component or information about the removed component. After the component is removed, the state information of the removed component or information about the component is set and stored, and the operations to be performed on a subsequent component are determined accordingly, thus preventing repeated installation of the removed component. Moreover, a deadline of storing the removed component information is set so that the information about the component can be removed automatically upon arrival of the deadline.

    • The present invention discloses a method for communication among different components, including integrating a Network Forwarding Component (NFC) for forwarding messages and at least one Independent Application Component (IAC) for performing other service processing into one network device; setting at least one cooperation mode in the NFC and each of the at least one IAC; and communicating with each other, by the NFC and the at least one IAC, according to the at least one cooperation mode. The cooperation mode may be any or any combination of a host mode, a mirror mode, a redirection mode and a pass-through mode. According to the present invention, the NFC and the IAC may communicate according to the cooperation mode so as to ensure that the NFC and the IAC can cooperate to provide various service capabilities including message forwarding and other additional service capabilities.
