摘要： An electrical machine is provided. The electrical machine includes a rotor comprising an inner rotor having a plurality of inner rotor poles and an outer rotor having a plurality of outer rotor poles. The electrical machine further comprises a stator configured to modulate a magnetic flux and to transmit torque to inner rotor and the outer rotor, the stator comprising a stator core interposed concentrically between the inner rotor and the outer rotor; a multiple of stator windings disposed in a plurality of stator slots, the stator windings configured to form a multiple of stator poles. The stator further comprises a plurality of stator teeth interposed between the plurality of stator slots, wherein an arithmetic sum or difference of twice number of stator teeth and a number of the stator poles equals a number of rotor poles.

The electromagnetic machine includes an outer rotor and an inner rotor rotatably supported adjacent to a stator disposed between the inner and outer rotors. The stator has an inner set of windings disposed on an inner surface adjacent to the inner rotor, and an outer set of windings on an outer surface of the stator adjacent to the outer rotor. The inner stator windings form a set of multiple-phase windings, and the outer stator windings form a set of multiple-phase windings.

摘要： A wind turbine is provided having a drivetrain with a gearbox and a gearbox housing, at least one gear stage and an output shaft coupled within the housing. The gear stage exerts an axial thrust force on the output shaft during operation of the wind turbine. A generator includes a generator housing and an input shaft connected to the output shaft of the gearbox. The generator includes a rotor and a stator coupled to the generator housing. The rotor is coupled to the input shaft such that the rotor is positioned radially inward from the stator. At least one bearing is shared between the gearbox output shaft and the generator input shaft, and this bearing carries a portion of the axial thrust force. The generator is skewed to exert an opposing axial thrust force on the input shaft, so that the axial thrust force carried by the bearing is reduced.

摘要： An electromagnetically variable transmission includes an outer rotor and an inner rotor. The inner rotor is independently rotatable within a center aperture of the outer rotor. The outer rotor is independently rotatable about the inner rotor. One of the rotors has a plurality of permanent magnets configured in pairs and facing an air gap disposed between the outer rotor and the inner rotor. The other rotor has a plurality of slots spaced about a magnetically permeable core having embedded windings. The outer inner rotors are simultaneously rotatable in one direction. In response to rotation of the outer rotor portion and the inner rotor portion, a magnetic flux path is generated between the permanent magnet pairs, the air gap, the outer rotor core and the inner rotor portion core, to induce electrical power in the windings, which transfers power between the inner rotor portion and the outer rotor portion.

摘要： An inside out generator disposed aft of the low-pressure turbine spool to generate power for the electrical demands of an aircraft system. The low-pressure turbine discharge flow is used to drive the power turbine, which is coupled to the generator. The generator is able to extract power at idle conditions of the aircraft engine from ducting the discharge through the inside out generator. The system eliminates the placement of a generator in the hot gas path of the discharge, and enables the injection of power directly to the accessory gear box of the engine.
