摘要： An image recording apparatus of the invention has a number of recording units for recording image data of the same or different colors on one or more recording media; a counter to set the number of copies to be produced; and a switch device which selects the recording units to be used in a current recording operation according to the number of copies to be produced and statuses of the respective recording units. A number of copies can be produced simultaneously by the recording units within a period of time shorter than a period of time required for sequentially recording the same number of copies. Dichromatic or polychromatic recording may be freely selected or combined with monochromatic recording by selecting feed paths and an auxiliary path for guiding the recording paper sheet.

摘要： An image information processing apparatus having a multi-function switch includes an image information reader for reading image information, wherein the reading frequency of the reader can be varied. A first switch is provided for switching between a first reading mode in which the image information printed on a sheet is read by the reader, and a second reading mode in which image information displayed on a screen is read by the reader. A second switch is provided for selecting between a plurality of different reading frequencies in the second reading mode. Control circuitry is provided for controlling the reader to read the image information at a predetermined reading frequency higher than the plurality of reading frequencies in the first mode, and to read the image information at one of the plurality of reading frequencies selected by the second switch in the second reading mode. The control circuitry tests whether a power supply of the apparatus is sufficient when the second switch is actuated in the first reading mode.

摘要： An image transmission apparatus for light-signal image transmission is easy to install and relocate and ensures reliable transmission between a plurality of readers in remote locations and a central recorder. Each reader provides data signals and command signals for controlling the operation of the recorder from the quantized image data of an original. The amplified and frequency-modulated signals proceded by image or command header signals are transmitted to the recorder. A signal intensity from the reader may be discriminated to be above a minimum acceptable level before being recorded, with an indicator of a recorder provided to warn an operator of an unacceptable low level, thereby preventing low-quality recording; a recording state may be indicated to the operator by a lamp or a buzzer. The recorder may further have a transmission request register and a priority encoder for resolving a contention arising when two or more readers simultaneously request service, by generating and assigning priority codes to each reader. The priority codes may be either predetermined, for example, so as to give one reader emergency priority over all other readers, or may be arbitrarily set according to demand.
