摘要： The present invention generally relates to sealing devices used in conjunction with two relatively rotatable members and having a fluid seal there between. Finger seals are utilized to achieve sealing between a rotating member and a stationary member. As such the present invention involves a double padded finger seal with both pads oriented axially in the same direction. The sealing apparatus may optionally utilize a padless third laminate. In other embodiments, the present invention provides variations of the basic double padded finger seal with pad configurations utilizing various arrangements and geometries of the padded area.

摘要： A gateway (1) resides in an IP-based network. It acts as a controlling or home HLR for a mobile device roaming in this network, emulating an MSC or VLR to the home network HLR. Thus, as far as the home network HLR is aware, the subscriber is roaming in a foreign network of equivalent type of technology. Meanwhile, the gateway of the invention manages a subscriber profile and authentication as if the visited network were the home network. In fact, the gateway in combination with the home network HLR acts as an IMS-standard HSS. The gateway (1) enables wireless carriers to use existing legacy network infrastructure to provide a smooth evolution to the next generation network architecture, and it supports voice and data inter-working between existing 2/2.5G networks and next-generation IP based networks. For inter-standard roaming, the gateway 1 extends the existing roaming footprint of an ANSI-41 subscriber roaming in GSM foreign mode. In GSM foreign mode, the ANSI-41 subscriber may roam onto alternative access networks using a sponsor GSM IMSI.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for determining an overlay error between at least two layers in a multiple layer sample. An imaging optical system is used to measure a plurality of measured optical signals from a plurality of periodic targets on the sample. The targets each have a first structure in a first layer and a second structure in a second layer. There are predefined offsets between the first and second structures. A scatterometry overlay technique is then used to analyze the measured optical signals of the periodic targets and the predefined offsets of the first and second structures of the periodic targets to thereby determine an overlay error between the first and second structures of the periodic targets.

摘要： Disclosed are techniques, apparatus, and targets for determining overlay error between two layers of a sample. In one embodiment, a method for determining overlay between a plurality of first structures in a first layer of a sample and a plurality of second structures in a second layer of the sample is disclosed. Targets A, B, C and D that each include a portion of the first and second structures are provided. Target A is designed to have an offset Xa between its first and second structures portions; target B is designed to have an offset Xb between its first and second structures portions; target C is designed to have an offset Xc between its first and second structures portions; and target D is designed to have an offset Xd between its first and second structures portions. Each of the offsets Xa, Xb, Xc and Xd is preferably different from zero; Xa is an opposite sign and differ from Xb; and Xc is an opposite sign and differs from Xd. The targets A, B, C and D are illuminated with electromagnetic radiation to obtain spectra SA, SB, SC, and SD from targets A, B, C, and D, respectively. Any overlay error between the first structures and the second structures is then determined using a linear approximation based on the obtained spectra SA, SB, SC, and SD.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of determining an overlay error between two layers of a multiple layer sample. For each of a plurality of periodic targets that each have a first structure formed from a first layer and a second structure formed from a second layer of the sample, a first optical signal is measured using a first ellipsometer or a first reflectometer and a second optical signal is measured using a second ellipsometer or a second reflectometer. There are predefined offsets between the first and second structures. An overlay error is determined between the first and second structures by analyzing the measured first and second optical signals from the periodic targets using a scatterometry overlay technique based on the predefined offsets.

A sample having a plurality of periodic targets that each have a first structure in a first layer and a second structure in a second layer is provided. 摘要： Rotary valve system for controlling communication with a port in an internal combustion engine which, in one disclosed embodiment, has a crankshaft, compression and expansion pistons connected to the crankshaft for reciprocating movement within compression and expansion chambers, a combustion chamber in which air from the compression chamber is combined with fuel and burned to produce an increased gas volume. The valve system has an outer valve member which is rotatively mounted in a bore and has an opening which moves into and out of communication with the port as the outer valve member rotates, an inner valve member rotatably mounted within the outer valve member with an opening at least partly overlapping the opening in the outer valve member, a flange extending along one edge of the opening in the inner valve member and through the opening in the outer valve member for sealing engagement with the wall of the bore, and means for effecting rotation of the valve members to change the degree of overlap between the openings and thereby control the timing and duration of communication between the openings and the port.
