摘要： A process for producing a saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid amide, comprising reacting a saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid with ammonia to thereby obtain a saturated aliphatic ammonium carboxylate and subjecting the saturated aliphatic ammonium carboxylate to a dehydration reaction for obtaining a saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid amide, wherein the dehydration reaction of the saturated aliphatic ammonium carboxylate is conducted while supplying water to a reaction system in which the dehydration reaction is carried out. Preferably, water is continuously supplied to the reaction system so that the production of the saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid amide is carried out in a continuous manner and the amount of water present in a steady state ranges from 20 to 70 mol per 100 mol of a total of the saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid, the ammonia, the saturated aliphatic ammonium carboxylate, the saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid amide and the water. This process enables simplification of the production steps, ensures high operation efficiency, lowers production facility constructing and operating costs, reduces the amount of by-products and enables producing a high-purity carboxylic acid amide at a high selectivity, at a high yield and on an industrial scale.

When a command for program preservation is given, the rewriting of the recorded area in the hard disk is inhibited and the program can be preserved to the hard disk in a range which does not exceed a predetermined time while tracing back to the past. The program is recorded to the hard disk until the end time of the program. Further, in addition to the recording of the program, a recording reservation of the program can be automatically set.

摘要： To reliably and simply prevent the output of specified image data, a unit to detect a pattern is installed in one of the devices in a system consisting of an image scanner 1, control device 2 (a personal computer) and printer 3 which are connected consecutively. This pattern detection unit contains a unit which detects a specified pattern from the mass of image data representing a document. Once this pattern has been found, either the subsequent image data are altered before being output or output of the image data is interrupted. When the system starts up, the control unit for each device checks whether that device, or one of the other devices in the system, has a pattern detection unit as described above. If it determines that no device has such a unit, it halts operation.

摘要： A replaceable tank for an ink cartridge used in a bubble jet printer comprises a container formed by side walls, top and bottom walls connected to the side walls. At least one ink supply port is provided in the bottom wall of the container and is disposed for supplying ink from at least one ink chamber in the container into a corresponding ink tapping pipe in the ink cartridge. The container includes a locking member on one of the container side walls for engaging a guide groove in the cartridge, the container being configured for insertion into an open top of an ink tank holder formed by the cartridge, with the bottom wall of the container facing downward and the side walls of the container aligned with side walls of the ink cartridge. The locking member is constructed for securing the container in place in the ink tank holder with the ink supply port connecting with the corresponding ink tapping pipe.
