摘要： A variety of sizes of color prints are made electrophotographically utilizing a single large size receiving sheet, for example, a receiving sheet that is 12.times.18 inches. The large size receiving sheet can be secured to a transfer roller to be cycled through the repeated single color transfers. The receiving sheet is large enough to receive one multicolor image of the largest size or an array of smaller sized multicolor images. The receiving sheet with smaller images is cut to size after transfer.

摘要： A method for magnitude constrained phase contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is provided. The method utilizes an assumption that the image magnitude is shared across a series of images reconstructed from a set of phase contrast enhanced k-space data. In this manner, one common magnitude image and a plurality of phase images are reconstructed substantially contemporaneously from the acquired image data. The method is further applicable to other phase contrast MRI methods, such as phase contract velocimetry. Moreover, simultaneous phase contrast velocimetry and chemical shift imaging, in which water and fat signal separation is achieved, is provided.

摘要： This invention relates to a novel cartridge-needle unit having a retractable needle for use with disposable or reusable holders to form safety syringes. The cartridge-needle unit comprises a cartridge comprising a hollow body, a septum at the distal end of the body, means for retaining the septum, and a plunger, axially and reciprocally slidable through the interior of the body; a needle capable of being withdrawn within the cartridge; a hub comprising a sleeve adapted to be snapped on the distal end of the cartridge; means for retaining the needle within the hub during an injection; and means for releasing the needle from the hub after the injection comprising an element capable of passing through the septum. The retractable cartridge-needle unit exhibits improved reliability, reduces the tendency for body fluids and/or medication to remain in an unprotected area upon retraction of the needle and virtually eliminates the possibility that the needle can be released into the patient.

摘要： A multicolor image forming apparatus forms a series of electrostatic images on an image member and tones those images with different colored toners. The toners are transferred in registration to a portion of a continuous web receiving sheet by securing the portion of the web to a transfer roller and moving the transfer roller in a first direction to receive an image and in a second direction to return the portion of the web to a position for receiving a second web image in registration. Movement of the transfer roller during transfer is controlled by the image member. In between transfers movement of the transfer is controlled by a first stepper motor which disengages and engages the transfer roller from the image member and a second stepper motor which resets the transfer roller to its beginning position. The reset motor also brings the transfer roller up to the speed of the image member before reengagement.
