    • A management system for use at a worksite is disclosed. The management system may have at least one object detection sensor configured to generate a first signal indicative of a feature of a roadway traversed by the mobile machine, a positioning device configured to generate a second signal indicative of a position of the mobile machine, and at least one performance sensor configured to generate a third signal indicative of a performance parameter of the mobile machine as the mobile machine traverses the feature. The management system may also have a controller configured to determine a surface condition of the roadway based on the first signal, index the surface condition to a particular location on the roadway based on the second signal, and generate a map of the roadway providing a representation of the surface condition and the performance parameter.

    • A tilt angle control system has first and second sensors for sensing the position of the rod end portion of first and second lift jacks. A controller calculates an actual tilt angle of an implement connected to the rod end portions of the lift jacks based on a difference in the amount of extension relative to a baseline. A display device displays the actual and desired tilt angles. The controller compares the actual tilt angle to a desired tilt angle and actuates a fluid operated system to move one of the first and second jacks in response to a difference between the desired and actual tilt angles. An inclinometer sensed angle of the machine relative to a horizontal plane is added to the actual tilt angle to correct the actual tilt angle of the implement. The tilt angle control system is particularly suited for use on a bulldozer.

    • A calibration system for use on a work machine wherein electro hydraulic controls are utilized to control the operation of a particular work element, the present calibration system being operable in both a semi-automatic mode and an automatic mode. In the semi-automatic mode, operator interaction is required and the calibration process is preferably initialized and controlled via a service tool which is in communication with a work machine controller. A command signal having a command signal value indicative of a command state of the component being calibrated is generated by a command signal generator, and a detector in communication with the component receives the component signal and detects when the component has reached the command state, and generates a detector signal having a value representing a calibration factor to be used in correlating the component signal value with the actual state of the component. In the automatic mode, no operator interaction is required and the controller automatically and dynamically correlates and compares the current state of the particular component being calibrated with its last stored state and thereafter calibrates the component upon detecting a difference therebetween.

    • A fluid regeneration circuit for a hydraulic system having at least one hydraulic actuating cylinder associated therewith, the present circuit including a control valve connected in fluid communication with the actuating cylinder for controlling the operation thereof, a regeneration valve connected in fluid communication with the control valve and with the head and rod end portions of the cylinder, a position sensor coupled to the actuating cylinder for sensing the position of the piston within the cylinder during movement thereof, and a controller coupled to the position sensor, the control valve and the regeneration valve for controlling fluid flow to and from the actuating cylinder. The controller is operable to receive signals from the position sensor and determine the velocity of the piston based upon the signals outputted by the position sensor, and it is operable to output appropriate signals to the regeneration valve to regenerate fluid flow to the head end portion of the actuating cylinder when the velocity of the piston is determined to be above a first predetermined threshold velocity, and to discontinue fluid flow to the head end portion of the actuating cylinder when the velocity of the piston is below a second predetermined threshold velocity.
