    • A walking assistance device including a pelvic frame (10) extending from a lower back to each lateral side of a user, and a belly belt (20) for securing the pelvic frame in position. A power generator (30) is attached to each lateral side of the pelvic frame. A power transmitting arm (40) can be attached to an output member (33) of the power generator simply by hooking an upper part of a base end (41) of the power transmitting arm onto an upper groove (38) of the output member, and pushing a latch member or a slider (46) provided in a lower part of the base end onto a lower groove (39) of the output member. The user wearing the pelvic frame (10) can easily attach the power transmitting arm (40) to the output end of the power generator (30) by easily using a single hand without requiring help.

    • An electric actuator comprised of an electric motor and a wave gear speed reducer connected to the electric motor efficiently air-cools the electric motor and a wave generator of the speed reducer and obviates the need for increasing the axial length of the actuator. The wave generator has a plurality of holes penetrating in the axial direction, the holes being arranged with intervals provided in the circumferential direction. A partitioning portion between the holes constitutes a vane portion which blows air in the axial direction. An internal space wherein a coil of the electric motor is disposed is in communication with an internal space of the speed reducer, and the vane portion blows air into the internal space of the electric motor. An air cooling passage is formed in a stator of the electric motor such that air flows into the air cooling passage when the vane portion blows air.

    • A walking assistance system includes an upper leg fitting which is attached along a user's upper leg. The upper leg fitting is formed from an upper leg frame that forms a framework of the upper leg fitting, and an upper leg coupling member that is vertically slidably supported on a guide rail provided on the upper leg frame, rotatably supported around a support shaft, and joined to the upper leg. When the upper leg fitting is made to swing in the fore-and-aft direction relative to the user's hip by a hip joint actuator, the position of the center of swing of the upper end of the upper leg fitting and the position of the hip joint are displaced, but it is possible to make the upper leg coupling member follow the upper leg by moving the upper leg coupling member relative to the upper leg frame, thus eliminating any uncomfortable sensation.
